Good food and a beautiful Terrace looking down to the Tornio river. Have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. Also a tasteful design store of the Pentik-chain - their headquarters are in Posio but this store could also be in California - it's worth visiting. Also a Marimekko shop.

I visited Pörröporo (poro is Finnish and means "reindeer") Cafe-Restaurant by chance since I was on the way to the South in Tornio Valley. I had a tasty reindeer sandwish: traditional Lappish "rieska" bred and cold smoked reindeer. It is very basic / rustic Sandwich put it was very nice. I discussed couple of word with the sympatic owner of the place (bit over 50). Pörröporo as such is more than just cafeteria or restaurant: they have a big shop of reindeer and Lapland related authentic products and apparently the also make some own products about reindeer and salmon (?). Nice little souvenir of 40 min visit.

I was eating there a quick lunch in the framework of a business trip in Torne Valley. Café-Restaurant Joppari has the decoration of style 1990s (or even 1980s) but the staff was friendly, place is easy to find and pizzas were excellant. It is kind of lunch place (it thing it closes around 8.00 or 9.00 PM)

Nice basic lunch. Apparently meal of the day changes every day. Clear, nice
staff. Interesting design of the restaurant. The best point is that the
Restaurant inside a building in which you can also find Lapin Savi which is
making ceramics. A nice and well working combination.

Arctic Circle Tuomaan Tupa is located exactly on the Arctic Circle line in Pello in Finnish Lapland. The place is also a big souvenir shop and it is propably more famous about the arctic circle line and souvenir shop than about restaurant's food. Yet the lunch was fine: you can choose for 5-6 different dishes. I had a smoked reindeer soup. I thing this place might be interesting also for the groups since the building is rather big. They have nice arctic circle signs and one particulary beautiful in front of the restaurant / shop where you can take a nice selfie or group photo. P.S. This place is different to the Arctic Circle in Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi in Finland, which is 100 km more in east. This place is in Tornio River Valley. You can actually also cross the Arctic Circle in the Tornio River Valley in the Swedish side (they call it "arctic circle village"). In not sure if there are restaurants in the Swedish side, so if you are hungry this might be the right place :-)

I had there a nice little lunch with a colleague. The restaurant is located in holiday village but it is also open for too. This restaurant is located next to a ski resort in Mount Ritavaara some 8 km from center of Pello. The food...MoreThank you very much for your review, you are most welcome to come for dinner as well! The restaurant is open only for per-orders during the period 16.4-30.5, but from 1.6 we are open again every day (kitchen closed Mondays and Tuesdays). Warm regards, Mia

I have there a dinner with friends after hunting northern lights in Lapland. It is basic "oriental" style pizza place in the center of Pello. But pizza was fine and the staff was friendly.
