Looked all round Saumur and we fancied Italian. On our previous visits we have had trouble finding a decent Italian. Saw 3 or 4 others but this took our fancy as they seemed to specialise in Pizzas unlike some who do everything and nothing well. We sat outside and were served by very pleasant lady who despite our little French and her speaking no English we got what we wanted and had a laugh with her. Saw the guy who we assumed was the owner/chef and he was a real happy chappie. Cost was very reasonable and when we are in Saumur next we shall be heading here.

Our friend waited a year to return to Sumaur to try this out .... really did take 3 mins for a great tasty take away pizza .. apart from the novelty value of what is happening, this is completely innovative... so the Mexican pizza was hot and spicy and tasted delicious

We stopped here with my 5 year old grand daughter for an evening meal looking forward to a pleasant time. Instead we had an unpleasant experience with a very rude and abrupt waiter. We were given the menu after being shown to our table-after a wait of at least 25 minutes the waiter came to take our order. By this time my grand daughter had lost any appetite. The waiter was less than happy because we wanted two pizzas -they looked quite large- and not three. We repeated our request for only two pizzas but he was not having it -a table for three = three meals! He almost snatched the menus out of our hands when we went to go. The food may be very good here-it did look good that is why we stopped there- but there is no need for such rudeness and lack of civility. Needless to say I would not recommend to anyone, and there are plenty of friendlier places in the locality.

We only popped in for a coffee whilst we were awaiting a tour at the caves Louis de Grenelle which is opposite. It was the middle of the afternoon so we were the only visitors, but the owner/chef was friendly and were impressed at the modern interior. Whilst this is 10 mins walk from the centre of Saumur, this place looks an interesting venue for a lunch or a few beers in the evening!

Having struggled to find a restaurant with space Mona Pizza kindly opened up a space for 6 at the back of their restaurant and I'm so glad they did.One of the best Pizza's I've had for a long time.Light crust with generous toppings and heaps of wonderful cheese.A good wine list too and cheerful staff.Great value at â¬30 a head.Fantastic

We had dinner tonight at this place to grab a pizza and were pleasantly surprised that there was a band playing right in front of the restaurant. They seemed to be a local band and the ambiance was cheery and festive. The staff were all so lovely, and it was nice to have a break from the traditional French fare. They serve pizzas, pastas, salads, and also had some vegetarian options too. The location is great for a casual dinner with nice wine and views.

Had dinner one evening, Ordered a pizza Indian style, a pain perdu for dessert and a glass of beer.The pizza was excellent, not too hard or too soft. the Indian flavouring was mild yet was enough to be Indian style. The dessert was very good.Really enjoyed the meal that cost 24.50â¬.Would eat there again, if the opportunity arises.

Came across this little bar n a short stay with family & partner ...it pleased everyone! A fantastic menu of Belgian beer for hubby, lager for dad and fizz for mum! As mum has limited mobility these days we opted for pizza and it was delicious! Highly recommended if you're in the area!

Popped in for a quick lunch and enjoyed a very excellent Plat de Jour. Why is it that we simply cannot find food like this in the UK? Greasy burger and chips with everything is about our best unless you eat fine dining where you leave an arm and part of a leg. 11.90e for an entre and plat, cheap as the proverbial and stunning quality in a great French Bistro atmosphere, perhaps because it is a great French Bistro! The staff were great as well!Highly recommended.
