I traveled to Kashmir solo for a weekend and staying at New world guest house was the best decision I made for this trip. The place is clean, beautiful and has every facility in a budget price. Rooms are spacious, with attached washrooms. There was a common hall and balcony overlooking garden, which I could use anytime. The hosts here are wonderful people and went out of their way to make sure I had a comfortable stay. I had the most wonderful time in Kashmir because Mr Bashir introduced me to the right people to explore Srinagar with. He even helped me plan my trip around Srinagar. I couldn’t have asked for anything more, this was one of my best stay experiences ever. I felt at home for those 3 days. Can’t wait to go back for longer. Also, the tea and food offered was really good.

Ullaar, the first to be approved GOLD category homestay under “Athithi Uttarakhand Griha Aawaas (Home stay) in district Pauri Garhwal by Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board, Govt. of Uttarakhand in the quaint little and perfect Himalayan village setting of Jaihari with post-modern eco-tourism concepts has fostered an environment condusive for mind and body rejuvenation. Ullaar, which in Garhwali parlance means cheerfulness with a dash of contentment is a destination that is set in the lap of nature and nestled amongst Oak and fruit trees and vegetable gardens in a village setting. Far from the maddening city crowd Ullaar is a unique homestay in the hills that is ideal for providing leisure tourism acting as an interface with nature and its plenteousness. Spread in a 3200 sq mts. of area, the property has three buildings – The Main house where we live, Guesthouse and the Staff Quarters all built in local queried stone and Deodar/Pinewood in existent Uttarakhand temple style architect
My wife, her sister and spouse, and I went for a simple get away from the heat of Delhi break to Lansdowne. A 4 nights 5 days break. Lansdowne was a great choice. Great weather, no crowds, and lush green. With the icing on the cake being the lovely hospitality of Vicky Rawat the owner of Ullaar Homestay where we stayed. And Ullaar is simply gorgeous and perfect for a kind of break we were looking for - great accommodation, lovely food, wonderful homely attention to details by Vicky, and the perfect support by Kundan and Hayat to Vicky to complete the experience. Get your expansion up and running and we shall be there as long stay guests for weeks at a time....cheers! and best wishes

The Rock Heaven Resort is situated amidst the scenic beauty of the environment and is one of the finest and the best Resort in Lansdowne. From Deluxe Rooms to Family Suites rooms and Balcony view room, the Resort offers accommodation of all categories and is recognized amongst the best Hotel in Lansdowne.
Food quality and taste is very poor, and the amount they are charging for the same is very high. Service is poor, even the staff does not offer salad while serving dinner. They took 20 min to serve food for only 5 peoples,

The group of houseboats provides excellent services and is known for its honest dealings. The appreciation by the visitors is a treasure to be reserved.
It includes free complimentary breakfast. We stayed at Shamus Maqbool for 2 days and trust me it just felt so amazing. Right from our airport pick up, cleaninless of rooms, food was just 10 on 10. Their service towards guests is very caring and helpful..

The place is in a good location and is small but has a nice view of the mountains. It can be a great location for people who have a small budget but the place is in dire need for cleaning, maintenance and upkeep.

Hotel facilities have deteriorated over the years and my stay this this time was particular disappointing. Staff is untrained and needs grooming. Rooms are very basic, even the super deluxe rooms. Food is also average in taste and quality.
You will feel like your home

Located on the way to Badrinath. Ambience good. For upper floors both stair cases and slope are available. One departmental store is located at the entrance where you can buy all your needs. One draw back is at the entrance to the room there is glass partition covered with screen and no wall is there. Fruits are available nearby at cheaper prices
