The five dramatic Patagonian provinces stretch from the ice fields and granite peaks of the Andes mountains to the rugged Atlantic coast, where southern right whales gather to breed. A nature lover's dream, it's also home to the sizable Peninsula Valdes southern elephant seal colony and the world's largest Magellanic penguin colony, located in the Punta Tombo reserve. At its tip, Tierra del Fuego and Ushuaia, the globe's southernmost city, are popular jumping-off points for Antarctic cruises.

Aguila Mora Suites & Spa is a lodge with 40 fully equipped Suites Rooms, strategically located in KM 5 of Bustillo Avenue, with a unique view of Lake Nahuel Huapi.
The facilities are brand new, the room is more like a flat and a family can stay long term due to the kitchen facilities as well. The pool was really warm and the gym with decent and new appliances. Be prepared to wear your coats from the minute you leave your room, once the corridors are open.

The hotel is fairly new and decorated with local flavour and good taste. The room was excellent, with a view to the beatiful garden with fruit trees and a small swimming pool. The staff is willing to assist in every moment and available 24/7. If you like barbacued goat there is an excelent place called Paralelo 27 at the entrance coming from Zapala.

We stayed here in December 2019 during our visit to El Calafate. We had accidentally discovered this hidden gem in booking.com even though there were no reviews. Bear in mind that El Calafate is very remote and is a base to visit Perito Moreno Glacier. To set expectations, this is not your luxe hotel but it is better than most places we researched. 1. Location: It is right on the water of the Lago Argentino and about 20 minutes walk to the Main street of El Calafate - Avenida Libertador. Taxi costs about 200 Pesos ( USD 3.5 ). There is a nearby park ( Laguna Nimez Nature Reserve) where you could go for walks and watch the pink flamingos and other birds. There are a lot of friendly dogs in the area who want to walk and guide you to town. Most of the tour operators know this place and will not have any problem picking you up in the morning. 2. Hotel: The hotel just opened in Dec 2019. It is a brand new but basic hotel. We had checked other hotels in TripAdvisor and the room /facilities seemed way better. 3. Rooms: The rooms are brand new and spacious with awesome views of the lake. It seems like we are floating in the lake. The heaters keep both the room and bathroom warm and cosy. They cleaned the room every day. All the rooms are facing the lake. Finally they let us know that the phones were not working but we did not mind going to the reception for asking for anything. The wifi / internet does work. 4. Services: We got excellent service. They allowed a late checkout and booked a taxi for us to the FTE airport ( about USD 16 or 1000 Pesos ). The manager gave me an Argentina adapter as my international adapter was not working. The people at the reception speak little English and that may come across rude. We had no problems at all. 5. Restaurants: We had free breakfast included with the room. It was pretty basic. However there are plenty of great restaurants in El Calafate and are highly recommended. There is a nearby restaurant recommended in Lonely Planet but we went to La Posta and La Tablita Parrilla ( grill ) near the main street which were both great. Would highly recommend this place if you enjoy views and don't mind walking or taking a cab to town.

It was a "nice & comfortable" stay at this small hotel in my own room with my own bathroom & TV at really a pretty good price of about 25 US$ a night. There's a nice dining area too (right beside the lobby area) with plenty of tables & chairs where it's nice to bring in your own food and have lunch or dinner later in the day (apart from having breakfast in the morning), and yes conveniently located at just a walk of less than 5 minutes from this place (to the right after coming out & across the street) is a "nice-sized" supermarket with great varieties of food & miscellaneous items, and also near that supermarket (but on the same side of the street as this hotel) is a bakery where you can also get sandwiches & such besides its variety of cakes (of which I had a "quite tasty" chocolate cake!). And I also liked the location here which is a quiet one but also not too far from the town center at about a 15-minute walk away (where you can also find a number of restaurants for a proper meal). Being in Rio Gallegos specifically for the purpose of visiting Cabo Virgenes (the Lighthouse 'Faro Cabo Virgenes' & the Penguin Colony) about a two-and-a-half-hour drive from the town, I got my mission accomplished by taking a taxi at a cost of 5,000 argentina pesos (the equivalent of 130 or so US$) which was actually a "good bargain" from what the tour operators in town charge for the same tour. And also in the town itself (and all within a 15-to-20-minute walk from this place) are a few places for about a day of sightseeing at a "leisure pace" (since each site won't take too long): Museo de los Pioneros (a museum like a "quaint lovely" house with charming yards front & back and where inside the displays are nicely set to learn the life as it was in this town about a century ago), the riverfront promenade (with a fairly-wide beach & the Rio Gallegos River alongside and where there are also some abandoned ships to see along the promenade itself), Plaza San Martin (with an equestrian statue of the libertador General San Martin), Museo de Guerra Malvinas Argentinas (a small museum about the Falklands War with some nice miniature model warships on display) along with the roadside monument for that war not too far from the museum (not a soldier statue or such but like a curve-shaped sculpture with a wreath on the top).

Atalaya inaugurated this year, as a tourist accommodation. He is cared for by the whole family, doing his best so that his residence is satisfactory and to continue growing so far in the years
Madryn es una ciudad con todo lo que se necesita. Es muy buen punto para hacer base y recorrer el resto de los destinos, pinguinera, península de vales, puerto pirámides, dique ameghino, gaiman. Conoces y volves a cenar y dormir a madryn.

Alojamiento bueno, bonito y barato.

Lynette and I stayed here earlier in March for 3 nights. We are spoiled and fussy travelers. We have been fortunate to have stayed at some wonderful places over the years - some business trips, some personal trips. I am confident that we have never stayed at a hotel as very special as the Villa Beluno. Every aspect of this hotel is terrific - wonderful common areas, terrific rooms, spectacular views from the rooms and a superb restaurant. Even the staff is the best...Juan and Sofia at the reception desk, Sofia (...our favorite waitress...) and Cristina. The reviews for this hotel probably do not do justice to this wonderful hotel. It is every bit as good as the reviews and even better...It is not inexpensive but the value is there!!!! Would love to return.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. First positive thing that I can point out is the hotel’s location which is high on a hill. The views from that point are amazing! You get a Ushuaia panoramic view with the whole Bay Area, and also there is a Mountain/Glacier view from the other side of the hotel which is very gorgeous too. I personally got a Superior Room on the third floor with the City View, and I really enjoyed it! However, I will say the windows could use a cleaning and the view would have been even better. My room was pretty big. It was decorated kind of basic, but it felt cozy and homy there. All the furniture was in a good condition. The King Bed was comfortable. Unfortunately the refrigerator was super small, and I could not fit much food and drinks there. Also there was a small and old TV in the room, it definitely needs to be replaced as does the refrigerator. The bathroom was okay sized, but could be a little bigger to feel more comfortable. I liked having a bathtub in my room even though it was small too and barely fit me (I am 6’ tall). Also I did not like the toilet which seemed low and tiny too. Another negative concerning the bathroom was no toilet brush. Plus, I did not at all like any bathroom amenities. They were of a cheaper quality and smelled awful. The hairdryer, which was built into the wall was very cheap and did not do a good job with drying my hair. Wi-Fi in my room and around the entire hotel was working very fast. I would also love to point out the super nice and friendly hotel staff, especially a sweet and cute front desk girl who worked during morning/noon hours. The staff definitely made my stay happier, was always fun to chat with everyone. People in Ushuaia in general are very friendly and nice. Another plus of the hotel is the free vehicle parking. I would recommend to rent a car for your entire stay in Ushuaia, because it is just easier to move around with everything in town and in the suburbs around it if you have your own car. To go down to the city center from the hotel by a taxi costs around $8, by the way. If the hotel orders a taxi for you, a car comes pretty fast (within 8-10 min). Moreover, the hotel has a small dry sauna and a very nice fire place next to the lobby. I paid $170 per night for my stay, and I believe that this rate is pretty reasonable for the good quality I got. I totally recommend this hotel for a stay! Trust me, you will not regret it! Yes, you will not get Luxury 5 stars quality and service, but for sure you will feel comfy, peaceful and relaxed spending time at the hotel.
