Known as Dreiflüssestadt (City of Three Rivers), Passau is the place where the Danube meets the Inn and the Ilz. The picturesque city lies in Germany’s far southeast corner near the Austrian border. Settled since prehistory and a former hub of the salt trade, it became the Roman village of Batavis, then later the Holy Roman Empire’s largest diocese and a sword-making center. Saint Stephan’s Cathedral, home of the world’s second-largest cathedral organ, is one of Passau’s favorite attractions.

A small Boutique-Hotel, situated in the middle of Passau's Old Town, right at the bank of river Danube. All famous tourist attractions are in walking distance.
Had a great room with river view, Balconey had hot tub and sauna which we did not use. Hotel had indoor parking about a block away. Breakfast was very good and the service was superb. Front desk staff were very helpful. Walking distance to old town and restaurants. Would definately stay here again.

Whether you're visiting Bavaria for business or leisure, our Premier Inn Passau Weisser Hase hotel is a great choice for scenic short breaks in Germany. Picturesque Passau is home to historic attractions like St. Stephan's Cathedral - just a 10 minute walk away from our hotel past the Bistum Passau - as well as Passau's Old Town. History-lovers won't want to miss exploring the 800 year old Veste Oberhaus fortification, and there's no better way to sightsee than by hiring a bike to ride along the famous Danube Cycle Path. After days out in Passau, head back to our hotel and relax in our Lounge before enjoying a great night's sleep on a super-comfy Hypnos bed.
We stayed here for 2 nights and it was absolutely perfect, the best choice in Passau. The Hotel is so nice, clean, quiet and the room was all we needed. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom is clean and very nice arranged. I would come back definitely.

My husband and I were here for only one night and wished our stay was longer! We were warmly greeted when we arrived. And the receptionist prepared a delicious plate of ham, cheeses, bread and fruits for us. Our room was really spacious with a comfortable seating area separate from the sleeping area. The bed was wonderful! As was the shower. It’s in a perfect location for exploring Passau and for walking to restaurants. Highly recommend this lovely hotel!

The B&B Hotel Passau is a great starting point to discover the city of three rivers. The 84 single, double and spacious family rooms are equipped with TV incl. free Sky-TV, desk, bathroom with shower and WC, soundproof windows, air conditioning and free WiFi. The breakfast buffet can be booked for a small additional fee.
We arrived at the hotel two families, and no one was at the reception because this is self-service hotel. We paid at the door and Went into our rooms. Our room was pretty good and clean. It had a bunk bed and a double bed. Unfortunately, our friends were quite unhappy about the smell of smoking. I do not think that there should be smoking rooms in the hotel. The breakfast didn’t have many options to choose from but it was still good.

This is a historic property by the river Danube, and so it aims to deliver a commensurate experience in the style of the "Old World" charms. I was initially skeptical about booking the Superior Double Room that came with a sun room / conservatory, but that turned out to be a much enjoyed feature of our time in Passau (we stayed 2 nights here). We didn't miss any "modern" amenities - the room was equipped on par with the usual wifi, mini-bar, hairdryer etc. Breakfast room was on the top floor, and on a clear day, offered views of the cathedral, the surrounding city and a bit of the old fortress on the hill across the river (i.e. Veste Oberhaus). This is also one of the few (if not only?) hotel clearly visible when you are at the old fortress looking back at the town. The glass museum holds an exquisite (and very large) collection of glass works, and we were delighted to discover that our booking (direct with the hotel) gave us complimentary tickets to the museum.

Welcome! Good that you managed to find your way to art hotel & hostel. Our house is located in a historic building in the center of Passau. Once you step out the door, you are already in the pedestrian area of the town with plenty cafes and restaurants. The St. Stephan Cathedral and the rivers Inn and Donau are only a few minutes walk from our hotel. Furthermore, a part of the ancient roman wall belongs to our property which you can visit during your stay. The hotel is located in the Kantnerhaus which was once build by an merchant family from Passau. The whole building was renovated in Summer 2014. With a great deal of effort, we tried to keep the ancient charm and combined it with modern comfort. In order to keep the ancient and historic atmosphere, we do have to make little concessions in terms of comfort. Therefore we cannot offer you a lift in hotel. The unique charm of the old wooden stairs will hopefully be some kind of replacement.
very friendly, very helpful, great rooms, very clean, i can really recommend it, right in the old part of the town, 5 minutes to the river, 1 min to shops and cafes. Great service. I booked room without bath. Because it was not busy. They upgraded it to one with bath!

With it's light flooded conservatory the hotel Atrium welcomes you with it's top quality granite floors and cherry furnishing. The warm rooms are furnished with furniture made of birch and maple. The hotel bar and spa with finnish sauna, steam sauna and infrared cabin invite you to relax. With it's idyllic location, 100m off the north shore of the danube, only a few walking minutes seperate you from the pedestrian zone of passau.
This presumably family run hotel is quite likeable. It is convently located just on the other side of the bridge to the old town. It functions, and the managers have their prorities right. I had to laugh when I entered the room: I am sure it has been designed by the same person that did the layout for InterRegio trains of the 1990ies: It looks funnily outdated. But this rather adds to the charm than that it takes anything away. I recommend this place.

This 4-star hotel in Passau's old quarter is situated on the banks of the River Danube, in the immediate vicinity of the city's boat jetties and scenic bicycle route. At Hotel König you can expect soundproofed rooms with tasteful cherry wood furniture. The rooms enjoy attractive views of the river or hotel garden. Each morning, wake up to a breakfast buffet. In the evening, enjoy a refreshing beer or select wine in the hotel bar. The Hotel König is just a 5-minute walk from Passau Cathedral, the Glass Museum, and Höllgasse Street with its many art galleries. After a day's exploring you can relax in the sauna or sanarium. Guests benefit from a 24-hour reception, and for a surcharge you can leave your car in the Hotel König's private car park (reservation required). Free Wi-Fi is available.
We stayed at this hotel for two nights and found it very comfortable, the staff were generally pleasant. It has a good location on the edge of the old town, adjacent to the Danube and close to the main cathedral. Excellent car parking at street level. Breakfasts were very good although one of us was disappointed by the lack of a variety of hot breakfasts which was restricted to scrambled egg and sausages. The Bavarian hams were wonderful!!nice lounge overlooking the river. The hotel rooms were very clean and well appointed. We found it peculiar that it was not possible to get lifts upwards from certain floors. We recommend this hotel and which we would certainly stay at again.

Our Hotel „Passauer Wolf“ in the heart of Passau's old town offers modern comfort in historical ambience with bright, amicable rooms and furniture of birch and indian apple. The hotel bar and spa invite you to relax. Enjoy the view over Passau on our rooftop terrace.
It was very cosy hotel with very helpful receptionist. Location is convenient because is in the center of the Old town. Nice restaurants with terraces and siting outside, coffee places with nice music right behind the corners. Breakfast was richer we expected. Highly recommend this hotel, we stayed two nights.

This hotel was a first for not having a top sheet(only a warm comforter). Also the first for not having climate control room was too warm to sleep comfortably as a result. Hotel is not really walking distance to anything of interest. We had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both meals were disappointing. It did seem clean as a positive. The best part though was it was only one night.
