This restaurant has an excellent range of freshly Cooked Chinese dishes it seemed to be very popular with the local residents too, both for "takeaway" and dine in. We were impressed by the freshness of the produce used, although some of the dishes were perhaps a little bland for British tastes. That would be my only criticism. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals in this restaurant. Great value.

Family and I ate there and it was great. Typical American cafe. Variety was good. The food came out hot and fresh. Service is prompt. Alyssa our server was bubbly and pleasant and Hunter, the cook, knows how to cook a mean burger! Thanks guys!

Thought we'd try the steakhouse after all the wonderful reviews - not quite in the mood for the beef entrees so we tried the other options - very disappointed.
Party of three with reservations (Friday night 6 pm and didn't really need them) - my wife ordered stuffed portobello mushroom ... when it arrived the waitress explained they were out of portobellos so 8 or 10 small button mushrooms were substituted. Not stuffed, just covered with melted parm. cheese. We knew it was coming as we overheard waitress explaining same thing to another table before our order came out. Wife said had she known that she would have ordered something else - too bad waitress (who knew) didn't tell her when she took the order.
Friend and I ordered the sweet potato with nothing on it (due to a diet and medical restriction). When it arrived it was out of the skin, mashed into a pile and looked very good ... but one small bite suggesting that something(s) was/were added. Asked the waitress if anything was added to the potato, she said no but she'd check with the cook. Came back, said she was wrong and that 3 other ingredients were added when it was mashed. Couldn't eat it because of diet restrictions. I guess special requests either aren't appreciated or communicated to the cook .
Friend asked for a diet, non-caffeine cola (she was running in the Parowan 1/2 marathon the next day, had to be up early and didn't want to be stimulated by the cafefine) - no such luck as they aren't available. Waitress did put lemon in the water as asked.
The salmon we had was very good but was all we could eat. I'm sure die hard steak and potatoes people will like it but it's not for us - our fault for choosing it - never again.

We just returned from dinner at Calvario's and my husband is already planning our next meal there when we return to Parowan. We arrived to find this small restaurant packed with a 15 minute wait which was more like 5. The clientele is both local and visitors. The menu lists both American food and Mexican food and is divided by breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our waiter informed us that one can order anything from the menu at any time.
My husband ordered the Mother Town Burrito with adodada which he states was absolutely delicious and is the driving force behind his plans to return. My mother-in-law had a grilled chicken chimichanga although they don't list grilled chicken on the menu, they made it for her. She also sang it's praises. My father-in-law and I both ordered the Chile relleno and cheese
Enchilada dinner with beans and rice. He enjoyed his very much but I wasn't overly fond of the red sauce on the Chile relleno . I thought the food was good but I wasn't as impressed as everyone else. Still three out of four speaks volumes about the food and therefore I would recommend it should you be visiting Parowan or just passing through. Dinner for four came to about $40, which is reasonable given the portions. Also, although we didn't have room for dessert, they have a display case filled with all kinds of baked treats that looked wonderful. Oh well, maybe on our next visit.

We went there and there weren't many cars in the parking lot so we thought it was a bad sign, but oh were we wrong! Hands down one of the top ten pizza places I've ever been to. Do your taste buds a favor and order a pizza there, you won't regret it!

My wife and I were staying up in Brian Head but there really isn't anywhere there to have a real meal. Yes, there are places to buy food, but not really to have a meal. So we did the twenty minutes to go down the hill and then we had to decide WHERE to go. The lady at the Tourist Information Center had mentioned she enjoyed MY PLACE and so we decided that would be our choice. June Mesnik, the co-owner, welcomed us as we went in for a late lunch, and we were the only folks there. It was off season and the high school lunch crowd had already departed. We were so thankful of the quiet. The restaurant has high ceilings and wonderful wood plank floors and a most relaxing ambiance. My wife and I each ordered sandwiches and then we had the choice of either fries or potato salad. We had not expected any gourmet food, and we didn't get it, but we had healthy and hearty dishes and we enjoyed our chat with June. We recommend you give it a try.

We were staying in Parowan for a ski vacation at Brian Head. I ordered a Chile relleno and chicken taco combo. My wife had Chile verde. We found everything served delicious. The Chile relleno may have been the tastiest I ever had. The salsa was great. We are from L.A., where there are some pretty decent Mexican restaurants. It took a little too long to get our check and pay, but they did get busy with take-out orders and they have a small (but very friendly) staff. We will return for sure.

Dan has hit a home run here in Parowan with the opening of this bakery. Everything he creates is top notch and he takes great pride in his artistry. Tasting is believing.

We arrived in Parowan in the evening and nothing was open for dinner. Luckily we found the dairy freeze was still open. Very big menu, a lot of options to choose from. The fried chicken and the battered mushrooms were really good. We took the food back to the hotel room. We both enjoyed the food we ordered.

They make everything there and fresh and it totally shows. The chocolate iced with sprinkles donut and the cinnamon sugar donut were two of the best donuts we've ever had.
The service was so nice. The baker came out and helped us, answered questions, and told us about the specials.
$6.50 for 3 donuts, 2 cookies, 2 coffees. You can't ask for better value, especially with food this YUMMY!
