We stayed in the Chris La Mare Luxury Gold Villa & it was amazing. We were very well looked after by all the staff, and especially Flouris. The villa was 5 star and we were treated as 5 star guests by all the staff. Even on the final day, after we had checked out, but waited for transfers, we were looked after beautifully. We used the spa & nothing was too much trouble. The ladies who ran the spa & provided treatments are fab! We loved every minute of the holiday & Cyprus is amazing! We will definitely be back! Love the 4 Sisters :)

This charming hotel is located in "Pernera", a small area on the outskirts of Protaras, which has developed into a resort of its own. The hotel is right on the sandy beach of this quiet resort with restaurants, bars and many shops nearby. The Pernera beach hotel has a rich variety of sport and leisure facilities including:supermarket/souvenir shop, conference room, hairdressing salon, squash court, whirlpool bath, sauna, gym, massage room, two floodlit tennis courts, volleyball court, mini football ground, darts, games room, sun terraces, lounge bar, children playground, indoor swimming pool, a large outdoor swimming pool, children's swimming pool, a scuba diving center, water sports and a great variety of in-house entertainment.
We spent 2 weeks at Pernera Beach hotel 19th May until 2nd June and had a lovely time. With just a few changes I think this hotel could be made 5 star - more comfortable bar area for evening, waiter service around the pool and grassed area near the beach and porters to take luggage etc. Notwithstanding this, everything was lovely and staff were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble, I can only name a few, Sam who sorted out our bookings for the a la carte restaurants ( it’s a shame you can’t book in the a la carte once a week at each instead of once per star) , we absolutely loved the Asian restaurant and Thalasso was great too. Food was good, there were a couple of times I struggled to find something I liked but on the whole it was good, my husband especially liked their breakfasts. Other staff who stood out are George and Maria in the restaurants. Despo and Andreas in the a la cartes and Vitek and Amelia in the bar, they were exceptional and lovely people. All staff were really lovely, from the reception staff to the cleaners, who all work very hard. We liked the quiet location of the hotel and it’s not far to get into Protaras when you want to, about 10 euros in a taxi. We liked Protaras too and had a lovely meal there at Wan Chai Chinese restaurant. We hired a pedalo with a slide and also booked a private small boat trip to blue lagoon just left from the hotel along the beach promenade at the first water sports you come to. I thought their prices were reasonable and Joanna from there is a lovely young lady. We went into windmills bar not far from the hotel, 5-10 minutes walk, that was nice too with very friendly staff. They do a nice cocktail. There’s also a little supermarket left down the beach promenade and a lovely lady who runs that too. Thank you to all staff at Pernera beach for a lovely holiday, hopefully we’ll be back

Situated on Cyprus’ east coast with its golden sands and calm turquoise seas, the new renovated 4 star Vangelis Hotel & Suites is just a two minute walk to Fig Tree Bay and Sunrise Beach, two of the island’s finest beaches, while Konnos Bay and the rocky coves and clear waters of Cape Greco are just a short drive away. Vangelis Hotel and Suites offers the best that Cyprus has to offer in a spacious retreat where luxury blends effortlessly with contemporary comfort. The accommodation units range from spacious, luxury, brand new One Bedroom Suites and Deluxe Superior rooms to Studio and One-Bedroom apartments with kitchenette facilities. The Hotel offers a variety of leisure facilities that include a large lagoon style swimming pool, separate ‘quite' swimming pool, children’s pool and an indoor pool. Other facilities include a tennis court, table tennis, fitness center with a gym and Spa. Supervised MINI KIDS CLUB is available for our younger guests with an outside playground.
We first visited the Vangelis in September 2021. Initially, we were allocated a room at the rear of the hotel overlooking the car park. We requested an alternative without success. Fortunately for us, the Air Conditioning in our room wouldn't work despite their efforts to repair it. Consequently, after 3 days we were moved to a really lovely suite overlooking the pool. So nice that we requested the same suite for our May/June holiday and the Hotel were happy to oblige. I would say that there is an element of luck whether your room/suite is well located within the hotel. Some have a disappointing outlook or are so close to paths and walk ways that you would have no privacy when sat on the balcony or terrace, This would not put us off re booking as we are confident that the Hotel would do their best to meet our specific room request. Our suite was modern, spacious, very clean with lovely bathroom and rainfall shower. Safe deposit, mini fridge, wifi and very effective air conditioning are all included. All meals are buffet style. Something for everyone. Wide range of choices and all well cooked. Buffet replenished constantly. Dining room staff are all very friendly. Tables are cleared very quickly, drinks served promptly. You can eat on the outside dining space if you prefer. Wide range of desserts all very well presented. Despite part of our holiday coinciding with half term and a very large wedding party (102 people we were told) there was never a problem getting a table in the dining room. During your holiday, you are allowed a complimentary visit to the Robola Al A Carte restaurant on site. Whilst the atmosphere and service were excellent, we didn't really enjoy our meals whilst we know other guests thoroughly enjoyed theirs - personal choice. The family pool area was very busy and seemed ideal for children. We quickly scuttled around to the Adult only pool which was almost always peaceful. The pool bar also provided a very pleasant and efficient service. The pool and surrounding areas were spotlessly clean at all times. During both our stays, there were always plenty of sun beds. The lobby bar also provided a prompt and friendly service. Can't really comment too much on the evening entertainment as we weren't drawn into it . It seemed to focus on the children. We had a couple of drinks and then went to our choice of entertainment bars which are literally just around the cornier from the hotel. Although the Hotel is very close to entertainment bars, you can barely hear the music from inside your hotel room. The beautiful beach is just 5 to 10 minutes walk away. All in all, 2 very enjoyable holidays. All staff, including the lovely reception staff are extremely friendly with a genuine desire to provide an excellent service.

Situated in Protaras, Cyprus with its world famous crystal clear waters, golden sand and sunshine to last for a life time, the Louis Althea Beach is built in the traditional monasterial style on a promontory of Pernera beach. Overlooking the beautiful water of Protaras, this Mediterranean holiday complex offers outstanding accommodation and services.
We visited the hotel during school half term towards the end of May and had a great few days. The hotel really excels due to the excellent staff many of whom have worked at the hotel for many years, credit also to the hotel manager who clearly sets the tone, is very visible around the hotel and happily engages with both his staff and quests. Travelling with our two daughters we enjoyed the fabulous food, large and well maintained apartment and an enjoyable daytime entertainment program. The evening entertainment was low key but I understand will become more comprehensive as the summer season approaches. The hotel is situated adjacent to a great beach and lovely promenade which stretches along the coast and into central Protaras. The Louis Althea Beach is a great base for an enjoyable family holiday, we once again plan to return soon.

Food choice very good, staff very curtious, lots of young families with a great family vibe. Malama beach brilliant at the bottom of the steps with Kalifi restaurant great for a cool drink.

Tsokkos Beach Hotel is superbly located in the heart of Protaras center and within walking distance you may find one of the best golden sandy beaches of Cyprus, Protaras Bay. From guests to team members, Tsokkos Beach Hotel is all about providing a place where you can truly be yourself. Recently refurbished, the hotel has a welcoming and lively atmosphere with a wide array of facilities, daytime activities and evening entertainment. Soak up the sun by the lagoon shaped pool and relax by the raw beauty around it. The spacious accommodation, friendly staff, and relaxed ambiance make it an all round appeal for a perfect beach holiday.
The hotel is in a really good location between the beach and the main strip and, on the face of it, had good facilities. The room was spacious but had very poor storage so had to keep some clothes in my case. The pool and terrace areas were really spacious but, by the end of our week (late May) you had to be up with the lark to bag a sunbed. The A/I drinks I felt were very good however, the food was very poor. Identical and limited fare every day for breakfast and lunch and not great quality. We went out every night. Think there was entertainment one night we were there (couple playing local tunes) It was reasonably priced so, I suppose, you get what you pay for.

Sat within quiet surroundings in the small village of Pernera, smartline Protaras makes for a good base in eastern Cyprus. The centre of Pernera is steps away, while the main centre of Protaras is within walking distance, where you'll find a variety of shops for souvenirs, as well as plenty of bars and restaurants for evenings out in the resort. There's a pool area where you can relax and sunbathe, or take a refreshing dip to cool off. You can also order drinks at the pool bar, to enjoy in the sun. If you'd rather spend the day at the beach, it's just a short walk to Marlita. You can also enjoy a session in the hotel's gym or play a friendly game of tennis on the hotel's court. There's also a pool table. For meals, the hotel has its own buffet restaurant, which offers international cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. As well as the pool bar, there is an indoor bar for alcoholic and soft drinks. Each of the rooms are decorated in a contemporary style, and all come with Wi-Fi and air conditioning as standard, as well as having a balcony, and a safe for your possessions. If you'd like to explore more of the island, smartline Protaras is within a short drive of the Cape Greco National Park, which offers plenty of popular sights and photo opportunities.
This was our third time at this hotel and will definitely be our last. It's such a shame as in 2019 this was a good hotel. Since then, the manager has left and the standards have dropped. The staff are amazing but there's not enough of them. Our room looked like nothing had been done to it since 2019. The balcony was falling apart and the room was exhausted not just tired. The selection of food was poor but that was because there were so few people in the hotel. I would estimate that the maximum number of people during our stay was 50. One day there were four of us around the pool. It's such a shame as we have lovely memories of holidays at this hotel but we won't be going back.
