Great food in a pleasant garden setting. Eat outside if the weather is nice. The pasta with favs beans was delicious. Limited, expensive wine list. Good service.

Located in the heart of downtown Bay Street, Athena cafe offers the authentic greek cuisine with a Bahamian flare. Not only you can find the traditional greek favorites here but also Bahamian delicacies such as conch, snapper, grouper and lobster! We are a true, family operated business that want everyone to feel like family as soon as they enter. Have a choice to sit at our cosy bar, our air conditioned dining room or the lively verandah.
On our most recent cruise to Nassau, Bahamas in February, we made definite plans to visit Athena Cafe for lunch on our return to the ship......the location is very close to the port....and we had a delightful time......excellent food/servers and most importantly, excellent hospitality from the owners.....we will be back again!!!!!!!!!!! E'xochos!!!!!!!!

We were there with a group. Service and food were exceptional. Would definitely come back. I had the grouper which was fresh and excellently prepared. I asked if the salmon or the grouper would be a good choice. Was told by the waiter that the grouper was fresh, unlike the salmon which was frozen.

Café Martinique is quite beautiful, with a cozy bar filled with carved antique furniture, and a dining room bursting with colorful flowers. There are etched glass windows that filter the hot Bahamian sun, overlooking the beautiful Marina and a stunning Mahogany staircase, and birdcage elevator to impress.
Run by protégée Michael Lewis, the cuisine of super-chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten is now the attraction. I had the Grouper which was a fresh, local delight, paired with a small lobster tail as a delicious add on. It was a marvelous meal that is seldom experienced these days.
You can't help feel the atmosphere... a throwback to a kinder, more gentle era, with men dressed in lush tailored suits and beautiful women gracing the room. The dining room displays luxury and the lovingly recreated ambiance, made famous by it's appearance in the 1965 James Bond film Thunderball. The restaurant speaks to that era and surrounds it's patrons with old world elegance and iconic style.
There is a strict dress code as there should be, and it's not easy to get a reservation so you should plan your visit ahead. Expect excellent service, and a true fine dining experience. Highly recommended.

A fresh concept in custom-made cuisine, this Mediterranean-influenced restaurant features action cooking stations to prepare dishes on demand, from fresh fish to churassco. Designed by Jeffrey Beers, the restaurant changes form day to evening utilizing light to play off the polished chrome, wenge wood and limestone.
We visited for dinner twice in 5 days. Food is outstanding in both variety and quality. Sushi was a great starter. Stews were awesome, but might be spicy for some. I do think they have cut back on the number of Deserts (missed the white chocoholic mousse and butterscotch pudding) but the freshly made crepes made up for it.

My son wanted to eat like the locals so we saw their sign on Bay St and followed it to the restaurant. First impression when you walk in is that this is no chain restaurant. Nothing fancy here. But oh was the food so food! The wait staff were so nice to us and accommodated us.

We were able to get in without Reservations nor wait. Staff is very good.
They have a nice wine selection with prices ranging from $50 on up.
I had a boneless rib eye which was excellent. My wife had the filet which was also great.
The prices were a little high, but this is expected in a resort area.

We stopped by during our visit to the Atlantis. There are a wide variety of pizzas as well as pasta to choose from. We had the broccoli and spinach pizza which was great and our daughter loved her pasta. We also really enjoyed the garlic bread.
