Let me first say that I don't like fish - or at least I thought I didn't. Then I tried this place! The fish that we ate at 5 pm had been caught that morning. It was battered and deep fried - and was light and delicious! Fries, or a baked potato, and homemade coleslaw completes the meal. Bring cash or your checkbook (they don't the take plastic here). You won't be disappointed!

There are so few restaurants in Paradise you really don't have much choice. The food is so-so and at least fills a hungry belly. Very limited seating which is a shame because people that are waiting for one of the very few tables become irritated with the wait. I noticed that they decided to limit the days they are open. Not a good idea during prime tourist season when they could bring in the money. Eat at the Falls Brewery. Better food and atmosphere. Eating at the Inn Gastopub made me feel like I was sitting inside someone's kitchen for dinner.

We ordered scrambled eggs, gluten-free, dry toast. We were the only ones not served yet in the restaurant...took at least twenty minutes to get our food. We were served two fried eggs over easy with toast and butter.

While snowmobiling came across this deli in paradise Mi. Small indoor seating area with a couple of outside picnic tables. Good selection of sandwiches served cold or warm. Subs were priced around 11.49 each, chips and drink extra. I had the shipwreck which was an Italian sub would recommend. My husband had the pulled pork and coleslaw sandwich. Inside is a gift shop with various signs , sweatshirts & t shirts.

Yes, we were here previously and were even excited about the prospect of getting another take our pizza last Tuesday....as once Brown's closes when they run out of fish, Paradise Pizza is the ONLY place open in town to get food without driving on dark country roads for 10 plus miles.
So....We stopped by early on Tuesday to make sure they were open....sign said open at 5:00 p.m. We tried calling at 5:00 then 6:00 and then 7:00 ..NO ANSWER...and obviously not open. We even checked with hotel front desk and they confirmed, closed.
Can't tell you how disappointed we were to have crackers and cheese for dinner....grocery store closed at 7:00 too!
Wanted to warn Tuesday travels to beware! Call ahead?? or be prepared! And if they are open, we totally enjoyed the last time we ate here a couple years ago.

Whenever we visit Paradise we eat at Browns. The fish is caught the same day and when it's gone they close. I was able to meet Mr. Brown and feel happy that he and his family continue to offer customers such excellent food.

The place is quaint. The local folks are friendly and helpful. If you've gone this far north in the U.P. you owe it to yourself to have a coffee someplace in town and head over to the Tahquamenon Falls. It's a hike once you park. There's nothing wrong with the place.
