The Black Bear Diner in Paradise, California is moderately priced for grandma’s home style cooking. The menu is an old fashioned newspaper filled with history about the diner and lists of familiar down on the farm style eats. We always have take –aways because the portions are so large. Breakfast bear claws are huge and so yummie. Their salads are crisp and nutritious. The sandwiches and dinner items are large and delicious. Everybody who works there hustles to make their customers feel like they are at home in grandma’s kitchen. Even the manager grabs a broom or a coffee pot when needed. This is our family’s favorite place to go for truly delicious and affordable home sty le cooking served up quickly with a smile. The acoustics at the Black Bear Diner allow comfort for all members of the family, from babies to “ wriklies,” to be comfortable.

This is just what you would expect it to be. Baskin Robbins ice cream in a store front. They are located in the Holiday market shopping center with plenty of parking and nice large indoor seating area. There is one bench outside if you prefer to hang outdoors to eat your ice cream. This is not a 'view' location for outdoor dining.

Passed several of these places which specialize in coffee and assorted other drinks. Everyone I passed had a double line out on the street. So I finally stopped in this one. I now see why,.... the Dutch brothers are on to something here. I ordered the Nutty Irishman hot coffee, and it was great. Be prepared for a little wait..... but be ready for a great drink!

Great place for breakfast. The pancakes are to die for--thin crepe-like cakes with or without blueberries. Since eating these I just can't have normal pancakes anymore. They also make perfect basted eggs, and their link sausage is the best!

Great smoothies, try the Paradise Lost, Pineapple, orange and banana...is killer. The drive through is a little tricky, but be patient, this ain't Starbucks, thank God.

Many past visits to Kalico Kitchen Paradise, long established Diner. Consistently good and fair prices. Always have good specials. Good service and kept clean.

My friends and I stopped for a Mocha at the bottom of the hill before ascending to Paradise. The same drink was priced higher and just wasn't as good as the Awesome Mocha served at Coffee's On! Lesson Learned.... Buy local. People that are friendly, product and service that are good and even save a few nickels! Some things are just worth the wait...(drive up the hill...closer to home) We love our Paradise!

This is a small restaurant with a nautical theme: kind of amusing considering its location. I ordered the salmon dinner, but first inquired whether the fish was Atlantic or Pacific. I was told twice that it was Pacific, but it didn't taste like it was. However, it was quite good, and the portion was generous. I also tried the clam chowder which was excellent.
Very, very nice wait staff.

First time visit to this very charming Oriental restaurant with excellent menu selections and food served. Very good service and fair prices. Friendly staff and clean. Highly recommended.

Food was above average, it was delivered fast. The waitress was nice. The prices were a little high. Another restaurant recently closed down, so now there is less of morning choices. I just wouldn't go again. It didn't make that much of an impression on me. Someone told me they make good chicken. I didn't try it so I don't know.
