I took my family here whilst on holiday as it was walking distance from our villa. We had the meat meze, it was ok. The entertainment was bonkers. They smashed plates, torched the floor igniting spirits, kids tossed metal plates, we all danced in a circle to Zorba the Greek and to finish the night we all headed into the car park where we tried to set fire to the entertainer, who had rolled up news paper attached to him like a tail.

My husband and I had our wedding reception in paliomonastiro 21/5/14 and we came back to celebrate our 5th anniversary on our recent holiday to paphos. We had prebooked the meze meal and WOW, the food was delicious and kept on coming. We were stuffed by the end of it. Would definitely recommend going for the meze! The general manager is a true gentleman and came over and introduced himself as he knew through Facebook messenger that we would be celebrating. He even gave us a lift back down to coral bay afterwards. Great live entertainment on during the evening whilst we were there too!We look forward to celebrating another anniversary here next time we are in Cyprus

A great rustic hideaway near Sea Caves quite some distance from Coral Bay & not on a bus route? so some form of transport is necessary. A friend introduced me to this tucked away tavern & cocktail bar late last Sunday afternoon & we watched the sun go down while enjoying Mojito's which was one of the best I've ever tasted, so I had to have another! Built out of an original cave in the hillside by the great grandfather of the current owners, this was originally a home with a magnificent sea view. Converted to a tavern it boasts a covered bar & eating area inside with another bar & eating area outside with shade provided by a variety of umbrellas and other structures. Uniquely, it has a swimming pool for the use of patrons just a few steps away with sunbeds for relaxation. Prices are surprisingly low! The food is typically Cypriot & much is homecooked & prepared by a family member. I visited with my husband today after 2pm, it was a pleasure to relax with a Mojito or two. He ordered freshley made Thai Spring Rolls with salad & I had baked chicken served in a terracotta dish with bread - quite delicious! A number of items were not on the menu at that time. We followed with a greek speciality cake & icecream. The large slice was obviously home made & also delicious. So, don't expect The Ritz, it's not supposed to be smart & upmarket. If you're looking for something traditional with good food, lovely friendly staff, a fantastic sea view with plenty of parking, off the beaten track with a pool to cool, then this place will not disappoint.

First visit to this basic but very clean, tidy friendly restaurant and takeaway. We found it online and thought we would give it a try after many years coming to Cyprus and never been before. Ordered chicken kebab and mixed kebab which were delicious. Also given complimentary pita bread and dips/olives etc which was a lovely touch. Also Turkish delights after our meal, again complimentary. Waiters were great and very attentive and friendly. Chef also came out to say hello . We will definitely revisit. Great value for money!!Only one small issue was when we checked our bill, we had been overcharged but this was quickly rectified and sincere apologies given by 2 members of staff.
