A simple traditional taverna, family run, with no gourmet elements, as that would contradict the whole concept, in a village setting and beautiful gardens. My mum prepares the food with lots of love and the rest of us make sure it is served to you properl
I was taken to Akis for my 70th birthday meal. The food was amazing! ... and just kept coming! Then out came a delicious birthday cake, with a "?" candle on ( very diplomatic!) and a birthday card from the owners. A memorable evening in every way ... highlight of a lovely week in CyprusYou are such a lovely person and we were honored that you celebrated your birthday with us! No diplomacy needed with the candle, still young for that ;) Thank you so much for your kind review!

Been there the other night with my wife and kid. Asked for the menu. A few minutes later we decided what we would have: a couple of ice creams and a big bottle of water. Then the wait started...The waiter who gave us the menus walked past our table a few times and totally ignored us. I told him we were ready to order but paid no attention to us, as if we were invisible! What really got into my nerves is the fact that some other people who came after us, were served while we were still waiting to have our order taken! And to think that there were another three waiters going up and down who also ignored us, this was an absolute shame!!! We were ready to leave when after a long wait one of the waiters decided to take our order! Not long time passed and the waiter brought one of the ice creams! After five whole minutes came the second and the water which was supposed to come first arrived after another five minutes! The ice cream was ok, nothing special really. We finished our snack and asked for the bill. We just wanted to leave as soon as possible. We paid, and left at once. We will never, ever set foot again in this place and encourage people to do the same! There are so many other nice restaurants and taverns someone can visit in Mandria!

Londos perasma situated on B6 at Timi village, just five minutes from Paphos airport. A traditional cypriot family run taverna, with a small outside childrens play area. A very reasonably priced menu consisting of both traditional and non traditional food
A super taverna - wonderful staff who are so helpful and friendly but professional. The strongest G&Ts ever ! Great to see Perrier served in a large bottle too. The tuna salad was super and the chocolate cake a seriously naughty treat with lovely glazing. Felt humbled when the tip was appreciated. A place with shade and a few sun traps - a great place to stop.

Meze is excellent value for money and delicious range of food - dips, bread, garlic mushrooms, chicken, liver, sheftalia, stifado, lamb chops, bacon chops, deep fried aubergine in honey mustard sauce (hubby's fave), cypriot sausage, halloumi, lountza, fried veg, chips. Make sure you are hungry! Also ate there on 2 other occasions - would recommend the lamb chops, chicken souvlaki, stifado and JD burger. Tasty food, great portion sizes.

Family restaurant TTraditional food Great atmosphere Value for money
Having visited this charming village, and equally as charming taverna, last year we gave it another go this year. From the outside you wouldn't think much. In fact as there are about 5 tavernas around this small village square why would you try it? Because the food is superb, I imagine prepared and cooked on the premises, and tastes great. Admittedly all we had was dips with pitta and a village salad with feta but it was really tasty and, for a lunchtime, plenty. The staff, who are all family, are very friendly and helpful and we couldn't fault anything. Very reasonably priced, â¬12 for what we had plus a large bottle of water. Good value. An added bonus, the toilets were spotless.Well worth a visit if you're in Kouklia

Again a wonderful holiday evening at Gabriel´s with excellent Moussaka and Stifado. The atmosphere of sitting at the blocked off town square is very special. The family/staff are always very friendly. We like the food and especially Sophia´s cake and the chats with her and the end of a hot summer day. Will come againâ¦..

Live entertainment on Thursdays, Friday's and Saturdays.
First of all, the photos on tripadvisor make this place look awful and it really isnât. I wish Iâd taken some. We had a good meal. Sea Bream and Chicken Kebabs were very tasty. Kids had kids stuff and enjoyed it. They gave us some free dessert at the end. Not sure why, but no complaints! The Cypriot âtraditionalâ music and dancing was fun. Iâm sure it wasnât Olympic standard, but good enough to keep us entertained. We even joined in at one point.

Located on the ground level of the Village Square with a stoned paved terrace overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and the 9th hole of the Aphrodite Hills Golf Course, Pithari Tavern â a traditional Greek Cypriot tavern â offers authentic island cuisine. Gue
We ate at Pithari as we didnât fancy driving to either Pissouri or Kouklia. The tables looked inviting, Demetri was a perfect host, as ever, food was OK however there are much better, and cheaper, Greek local restaurants. We ate the kleftiko and Calamari - both OK. Good choice if you are staying at AH and fancy a drink/donât want to drive.

Cypriot Tavern offering home made traditional cypriot dishes and meze. Home made dishes for vegetarians and vegans are also available. Warm and friendy environment with hand made traditional decoration and recycled objects.
Kantouni Tavern is a gem in the heart of Mandria serving honest traditional Cypriot cuisine with exceptionally friendly service from Theodora and the Team. All recipes are Grandmaâs own, and expect that they are authentic and superb. The restaurant is lovely but small, so book early as it gets very busy at peak times so expect a small wait, which is definitely worth it! Highly recommend this place, such passion about what they do. We visit regularly. Fabulous!
