Lefkara (Greek: Λεύκαρα) is a village on the island of Cyprus famous for its lace, known as lefkaritika in (Greek: λευκαρίτικα) and silver handicrafts. The village takes its name from the white of its silica and limestone: Lefkara is derived from a combination of the Greek words "lefka" (Greek: λευκά, Translation: white) and "ori" (Greek: όρη, Translation: mountains, hills). It has been listed among "The 30 most beautiful towns in Europe" by the Japanese Association of Travel Agents.

It's never a good sign where you hear the microwave whirring in the kitchen that happens to be on the side of the dining area.
It's safe to say that the food was old, dry and the service was terrible; the waitress was very unfriendly and didn't smile once.
We ordered the stifado and kleftiko and both very so dry and tasteless, when you are Greek you just know immediately if the food is good or not and as unsuspecting tourist you probably would be fooled. Not worth the 50 Euros at all.

If looking for good food try Retro. In addition to Greek Cypriot cuisine they also do specials. The sea bass fillet in champagne source is fantastic, served with chips sprinkled with herbs and salad garnish. Also try Cyprus sweets which are fruits in syrup.
The son of the proprietor who is a chef has recently joined the restaurant and his food is very professional. Good ambience and friendly staff.

The service in here is shocking, the food here is shocking, the tables in here or lacking cleanliness what a shame this sometimes is one of the only places open when tourists arrive in the fantastic village of Lefkara really I cannot believe I gave this place a second chance nothing's changed the whole place needs a massive makeover from the kitchen staff to the front of house staff and especially the management SUCH A SHAME

Hours of opening are seasonal, please call beforehand for more information before visiting.Thankyou Tasties!
Visited Tasties last Sunday. I was not sure whether I wanted to have lunch or drink a coffee and taste one of those yummy homemade Deserts they have. I asked for a Freddo cappuccino which they didn't (not sure why but you it's a cafe, so I was expecting it to have). We then ordered homemade lemonade (delicious!) and a piece of cheesecake. The portion was really big and the cake was really fresh. The only issue we have is the fact that we waited for a long time for the waitress to take our order and then to bring the bill. But totally understandable since it was on a busy Sunday. Definitely going back to try their brunch!

We were recommended this restaurant by a shop keeper in Lefkara Village. He said it was situated juts outside the village and it had views of the village. We weren't disappointed. It was a lovely setting overlooking Lefkara Village. We decided to go traditional food and it was lovely.

Was really disappointed with this place. We stayed in the traditional village houses and read sonne lovely comments about this place. However we found the staff rude and the food average at best. They served other people who arrived after is first, forgot our starters and we didn't get bread etc whilst every other table seemed to. It took about fifteen minutes to get the waiters attention to even tell them about our missing food.

Home made food from the wood oven, delicious recipes, dishes always from fresh ingredients.
Visited here on a Thursday evening, the little village was very lively (not sure why) so glad we were taken here as despite living in Limassol we had no idea this place existed. We were greeted with a very warm welcome, this is a family run business and the mother does all the cooking using fresh local produce.
We had a selection of meat, veg, pulses & salad dishes, sorry can't be specific but it was all delicious and the owners were always asking if everything was ok. They had no need for concern, we loved all the dishes.
Very rustic with regard to the decor which just adds to its charm, don't change anything - we had a fantastic evening & will definitely be back - thank you!!

If you want a surprise in Cypriot service visit this place. It is a coffee shop and snack bar but is so much more.... Found adjacent to the Town hall in Lefkara. The customer service with a smile, and so much flexibility blew us all away - we spent a few hours every day in there. Sotiris, Maria, George and Andri are the family owners and have fluent Greek and English, and nothing is too much trouble. In a contemporary meets traditional design in a beautifully restored building they serve traditional and European light meals and they have a bar. The salads are fresh as they grow their own organically outside.
The whole place is modern, super clean and has inside and outside Seating with a children's play area outside to entertain the kids while you 'entertain' another drink in the relaxed atmosphere. The bathrooms get a big tick too, new European style with ample wash hand facilities.
The whole place has a cool contemporary vibe - we will visit again and will stay when they open their boutique style restaurant and hotel, it looks fab already

If you're near Larnaca, you've got to check out this cute little place. The owner Elli has 30 of the best homemade jams, preserves and chutneys you've ever put in your mouth. You can stop by to pick up some jams. Or even better- call her to book a breakfast/brunch, which includes eggs, bacon, scones, breads, coffee, tea, cheeses and yoghurts and more jams than you can possibly imagine. Love this place!
