We have been here several times. It is more or less cafeteria style. Food is tasty. Servers are very friendly. Prices are great. Only down side it that it is a little hot inside the restaurant and they could use some fans. Other than that we love the place. Want dinner for less than $12 for 2 people, with great food. This is the place to go.

It was a rainy evening and I elected to have dinner at the hotel restaurant. Nice furnishing and look to restaurant. I ordered a pasta dish with fresh shrimp and spinach. After a couple of minutes the waitress informed me they were out of spinach and would it be ok to substitute zucchini and I said "yes". The noodles were fresh and hot as was the entire plate. Very good.

Had a sopa de tortilla which was really tasty. Just the right amount of spice. Good amount of tortillas cheese and avocado in it. The spicy michelada was very good. I likes the fact that they put some cilantro in it. The tacos were good as well. One dish had tortillas which could have been heated up a bit more but all in all compared to other Mexican restaurants in Panama I give this 5 stars. Service was attentive and we were even allowed to have our dog with us - outside on the terrace, having sacrificed air conditioning for it. Will definitely return

I pitched up in David at about 8pm on a Tuesday, it was wet and deserted. I went to a chicken restaurant that had run out of chicken. Then I carried on a block and stumbled upon this place, bellied up to the bar and let the food and drink commence.Their alitas al ajillo are brilliant, washed down with some perrier and then followed up with the calamares al ajillo because I still had an appetite.I actually went back for a second time on the Saturday and it is full of Spanish people. It's anyone's guess what they are doing in David but El Rincon Español is apparently where they hang out for a taste of home.
