The Gartenhotel Heusser is a privately owned spa hotel in the Palatinate directly on the German Wine Route. It is surrounded by large Asian garden with koi and turtles ponds and a Japanese teahouse for exclusive meetings and events. The Gartenhotel Heusser has a great wonderful wellness area with sauna, indoor and outdoor pool. Here you can relax and be pampered with a variety of treatments and massages. Enjoy the culinary delights within the half board with seasonal adjusted buffets. The Gartenhotel Heusser in Bad Durkheim is a special address for your personal time.
We visited this spa hotel without any great expectations as we have been to a few including the Eurotherme in Bad Ischl. We were totally happy with what we found - a very clean, well arranged hotel with many amenities - several temperature saunas, steam bath, tanning area, relax rooms all over, nice Asian garden stocked with Carp and turtles. The half board was terrific, the choices were endless and just great tasting. Sparkling local white for breakfast every morning (only after a 20 minute treadmill 15% @ 6 km/hr and 20 minute swim in the great pool) including a wide array of fine breakfast dishes. The staff were all friendly and were efficient all the time. We will return, without question! It is on the main Wine route, so it is a good central base...

Welcome in our house. We connect a 160-year-old tradition with a pleasant atmosphere and modern service. We, the family Flockerzie and staff, greet you warmly. Leave all your troubles and distress at the entrance.Family Flockerzie & staff
When we arrived for check-in, the hotel looked empty, cause it was just in the beginning of the afternoon. once arrived later that day it was quite busy. Room was good and clean. Not too small. Only thing i run into is that its made for people smaller than 2 meters long. Location is good, easy to find.

I can't say enough about the staff at this hotel. Some nights while I was there they were completely booked but we're always friendly and helpful. My phone wasn't working. They called cabs for me and ordered me a pizza. Hotel is very nice and breakfast is better than most hotel buffets. Easy walking distance to train station, beautiful park and downtown. Pizza from Blue Pizza was excellent, too.

The Mercure Hotel Bad Durkheim is connected to the public leisure pool "Salinarium". Our guests can reach this via the first floor. There is an extra charge for the sauna. The Salinarium is closed in September. Furthermore, due to the sausage market, the parking situation changes in September.
The entire staff made the stay just like being at home. At every aspect we were treated and served with the utmost care, difficult times because of Covid 19, but with this staff, you would not even notice.

a wonderful experience, a very nice and clean hotel, the food was excellent, the waiters very friendly, we stayed 4 nights with 2 small children who had fun at the hotel pool, we could visit the city center hotel with a beautiful view especially in the evening, the wine specific to the area was absolutely delicious, and the price was not high compared to what it offered, they followed all the rules covid (for us coming from uk a little too many rules, but if in Germany there were others compared to those in uk , we had a little more freedom, we didn't need gloves at the restaurant).

Had a great time in Bad Dürkheim. ACHAT is centrally located perfect for a weekend getaway. I give this hotel a 5 star based on the entire weekend experience. The hotel by itself is a solid 4 star. PROS: Perfect location. Pool and sauna Quality breakfast buffet Fantastic view of the Kurpark. Back building facing Kurpark, room 405. Friendly staff CONS: Check in was a little slow TIPS: Ask for a room in the back building facing the Kurpark Get a superior double room, they have a balcony

The experience was strained, but cordial. Front desk personnel are genuinely professional. Strongest recommendation is for the removal of existing carpet with a move towards engineered wood. This will alleviate the odiferous fragrance of stagnant water. Address the bird feces on room(roof ledges with sting to prevent accumulation and unwanted feathered visitors and this review encroaches on 5 star.

Herr Jacobs was a fantastic place to stay! This hotel is clean, quiet and comfortable. I felt like I was completely at home. The staff was warm and welcoming and even made me a sandwich for my travels home. The food was delicious from breakfast to dinner. Truly a unique dining experience as the menu is slightly different every evening. I was there for a little over a week while working in the area. The hotel is easily walkable to the center of town and a great price. I will undoubtedly stay again!

Tucked away on a side street. You’ll miss the driveway the first time. 3 night stay in Junior Suite. Staff was great. Very friendly and helpful. Also English speaking which was good for me :-) Room had open sitting/ bedroom area with separate bathroom inside suite. Room was a good size and very clean. Alcove from entry had open clothes closet and full length mirror. Hangers provided but no drawer storage. Comfortable room temperature only initial setting adjustment needed. Water pressure was great, in fact recommend turning on shower slowly! Hair dryer and some toiletries provided. Location of TV in room was inconvenient. Not for watching but for passing from sitting area to bed/ bathroom. There was not enough space without physical adjusting the TV each time or playing limbo to go by it. No iron in room. Front desk can provide but have to improvise ironing board. WiFi is only available in the lobby but cell signal was good in room so no issue for me. The view from my room was nice. A popular shopping/business area is a 5 minute walk and has numerous restaurants and coffee shops. I did not eat in the Japanese restaurant inside the hotel but chose to eat at St Marten’s in the business area. Delicious food! I understand the hotel at some point in history was a prison. There was literature available but only in German. The lobby desk and small café were “behind bars’” and there were pictures of the US Alcatraz prison with captions throughout. With the exception of the prison striped towels, my room did not look or feel like a prison cell but I was not looking for a prison experience. I would recommend and definitely stay again.

My first time in Germany was simply breathtaking. I spent 3 months on a work project and my reactions were WOW! The small town of Kaiserslautern was amazing. Plenty of shops and food and adult beverages of all kinds for everyone to enjoy. The hotel was cozy and very well kept. The staff was very friendly and always ready to assist. The manager, who I can't remember her name to save my life, was splendid! She made sure we all had our needs met. The breakfast was amazing. May I remind you, there are very limited rooms with a/c. But with the nice weather, there was no need for an a/c. I highly recommend Hotel Zollamt.
