There are no electricity in lodge. There is just solar power light in lodge. So we experienced really beautiful stars. In the restaurant, there are electricities enough to eat food and talk each other. There is tap water, and water pressure of shower is enough for us. There is no Wi-Fi in this lodge, so you can enjoy natural life. We ate fish there. My boyfriend who has been living in Uganda for half a year said 'fish plate here is really tasty.'

The staff was so kind and went above and beyond for us. After our long day we were met at the entrance with fresh juice and read the dinner menu for the evening, which consisted of a delicious four course meal. The candle lit dinner overlooked the nile and a beautiful sunset. The morning breakfast included amazing fresh fruits, coffee, pancakes, eggs, and sausage! The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was a beautiful terrace for us to enjoy drinks after a long day out in the park. Would definitely stay here again.

Our 10 tawny step thatched cottages are large and comfy with attractive furnishing making each one exclusive. They are open plan with a double bed and two single beds, including en-suite bathrooms. Their wide windows overlook the Albert Nile allowing you to sit back or lie back and soak in the view.
It's a great place to stay during your safari. The rooms are nice and staff is friendly. Great location by the lake! ps: if you are lucky enough to sit by the fire and listen to Onen Haron play some music you will have an amazing time.

Whether you want to relax or need a stay before/after going to Murchinson park, I can only recommend Mama Washindi. The view is gorgeous, bandas are cozy and nice, the food is delicious and the staff is especially kind and attentive. What a wonderful stay we had there, would go back in a heartbeat.

Travelled here in Dec. 2017, we have stayed here before starting in 2009. It has not improved since then. There seems to be no $ for any upgrades and this is very discouraging. Used a bucket to flush the toilet when we first got there, windows were open but no screens. bathroom window would not close properly and bugs were coming in. Netting had holes and would not reach the floor on my metal springed bed which creeped every time I moved. We have travelled to Uganda quite a few times and have stayed in many places so we are not new to different types of lodging. This would be classed as a no star because the prices are around the $100 range for a double. That being said the staff tried to be accommodating , were very friendly and the food was tasty. Must upgrade and not take all the profits without putting something back.

Stayed one night at this hotel while on a tour of Murchison Falls, my guide had booked the Paraa lodge for me but as we did not arrive to 9 pm the park gates were shut. As a last resort we went to this hotel it looks nice from outside but inside it is a bit grim. I was taken to my room which was very hot and humid only to be told the air condition does not work. There was a fan over the bed and I thought it would be ok for one night a big mistake. At 1 am the main electric was switched off so no fan working, the room was full of mosquitoes and got bitten in various places. At 01:15 am there was loud music from a bar that went on till 04:30 am.The bathroom has no shower screen which floods the floor around the toilet area. I went to the restaurant and asked for a menu and was told that the only thing available was fried chicken and chips which was very dry. Keep well away
