In the east side of the island of God's, Sea Salt in Alila Manggis is the best of place to fill your hunger. Chef Santika's created the Balinese grilled Spare ribs and perhaps one the best ribs I have ever tasted! Also the sambal Mahta with grilled Tuna is there signature dishes.
Plenty to enjoy at Sea Salt, indeed of of the best place to eat in Bali. A little far from the city but stay there and get the breakfast as well!!

First of all, find the right chair. After a few drinks order a burger and enjoy. I had a full monty Aussie burger and also a double cheeseburger. Great burgers. In comparison, I ate a mini burger slider in the famous Raffles Hotel in Singapore, Gary’s burgers are much better than Raffles’ burgers.
Gary’s on the left, Raffles’ on the right

It just couldn't be better having lunch in the rear sunny garden setting with jazz music in the background. Just a bit of a change from what is expected in Bali but it had lots of local flavour plus a wide menu of both local and international food. The setting, decor, food and service were all most pleasing and we will go there again when passing through Candidasa.

Omang Omang is a laid back escape in the Village of Padang Bai. There are indoor and garden areas to suit all tastes. Great for breakfast lunch and dinner, cocktails and snacks, coffee and a book or cruise the net and relax the day away. Home to the famous Blue Table where the problems of the world have been solved and created. We provide Sunset Cocktail Cruises off Padang Bai ending up back at the bar. Weekly Balinese Buffets. Famous Blues Music Live Nights. All catering for any function you may desire. Easy going place to just hang out.
We stayed in Padang Bai for 4 days and tried out a number of different restaurants in town for lunch and dinner each day. Omang Omang was a cut above the rest, and the only place we visited more than once. Good coffee, great food, served by friendly staff in a relaxed environment.
The beef nachos may be the best I’ve eaten on any continent.

This is a very local restaurant, if you want local food this is the place to go and I think it is worth placing on here. However the owner doesn't have internet or a pc.
Went there because of TripAdvisor reviews, and was disappointed. Mostly because we ate outside, practically on the noisy parking lot, surrounded by at least five stray cats. They miawed the entire time, and even jumped onto the chairs and table trying to get our food.
We ordered two fish with potatoes and salad. The one fish was good and tender, but for some reason the other was tough, rubbery and almost inedible. Weird - maybe a bad catch? The potatoes were alright, however served without salt or dipping. Salad was boring, but the small bowl of chili onion mix we got on the side was delicious.
Big portion, cheap price, but overall not worth it especially considering the location and cats.

Our fried rice came with a big black fly inside it! After we saw it we stopped eating but she still charged us! Very rude, dirty and surely not cooked with love...

This place was recommended by our hotel host so we thought we would try it. Good food at a good price. Staff seemed very friendly not only to us but every guest walking in the establishment. This place isn't anything to rave about.....but it definitely worth a try.

We have been visiting Manggala for about four years now and been greeted by Mr Friday and his family with smiles and good natured jokes. The food is consistently good and tasty - we especially like their barbeque platters - fresh fish or chicken grilled in healthy oils. The sambal matah - a Balinese spicy salad with onion, chillies and tomatoes - is also to be recommended. They even have very good steaks. The service is very friendly and always helpful. A very enjoyable experience!

Simply Balinese, a hidden away secret Garden Restaurant. It is a lovely open restaurant with a beautiful Garden and small fish pond and ceiling fans to circulate the air. A very pleasant spot to sit on a warm, sticky evening and enjoy a tasty, not expensive meal and drink, served by smiling friendly staff. This Restaurant Owned and managed by a local Balinese Family.
Thanks to TripAdvisor I found this warung! Free pick up and return to your hotel (I wouldn’t have found it on my own). Food was superb, authentic flavours and beautifully presented without being ‘cheffy’ and pretentious. Service was excellent (although I refused to use the bell provided on the table....bells are for doors, dogs and cats....not for human beings). And the price is exceptional. Beer was icy cold and the gelato is delicious. I would have to say this is one of the best restaurants in Candidasa.
