Great location and cosy BnB

I stayed here when attending a graduation ceremony in Oxford. The room we had was small but it was very clean. My only comment on the clenliness would be that the shower rail looks dirty when you are inside the shower- perhaps they haven't noticed that when cleaning it. The bedding was lovely and the room had all the amenities I would expect. There was more than enough space for parking which was important for us so all of our expectatiosn were met and exceeded. Thank you!

Good food but service lacking

Such a shame that the service was not good as the food was great! They turned the lights off half way through our meal and started wiping down tables- talk about subtle hints to leave!!! Also the waiter kept peering through to see if we had finished.

A five star rip off

A “suite” with one room. Stains on walls and mirrors. Worn out fittings in bathroom. Key cards that didn’t work. Tea making facilities but no tea. A request for photo ID not required by law but by alleged “security” policy. All this for £359 a night. Quite simply a rip off.

Classy Cotswolds cottage in real rural setting

Reviewed By Jes C

This beautifully maintained old stone cottage in a green and truly rural setting offers not only comfortable accomodation but also excellent food. The dinner menu is rich, the food tasty and only surpassed by a sumptuous breakfast hybrid of a large self-service buffet and a served, full English breakfast, which ranks higher than most as it is based on first class raw materials and not swimming in fat/grease. The rooms are spacious, the beds and downs are the best you can get - all placed in a picturesque square courtyard stone building. Staff are friendly and helpful. Not the cheapest accomodation around but worth every penny.

We spent one night in this delightful guest house. We were very impressed with the accommodation. The room was perfect, clean and beautifully presented. Everything we needed was there. The breakfast was individually cooked and well presented by attentive staff. On site parking was good. It was very good location for visiting Oxford. There were plenty of local places to eat in the evening. We would definitely recommend this place and return should we be back in Oxford.

Untrained pups

Reviewed By Jackhali

I visited Goring as my friend was saying there and said its lovely, and I agree, the village is beautiful. My friend had a bad experience with the food a couple of Mondays ago, as the duck was chewy and terribly cooked, another friend said the plum sauce was so aniseedy that it was like licking a liquorice stick. I still tried the food though, as this was a sat, and my fish was cooked to perfection, as well as the tasty veg and sauce, which I even sent compliments to the chef for. Maybe a different chef works weekends. However the problem there is that the young staff are so undertrained. One young lady in particular who I say was clearly out the night before and you could smell the alcohol on her, she was in a state and you couldn't get proper eye contact off her. She was even shaking while using the computer. I dont know how she was allowed to come to work like that? So unprofessional. The next day I see a man coming out the kitchen wearing flip flops. Is this a beach or a restaurant I thought
