Thyme at Rosemary's is a unique, cozy restaurant situated along the main road of Gansbaai. The restaurant boasts a beautiful garden courtyard serving lunches between 12h00 & 15h30 as well as two lovely interior seating areas with soft music and candlelit
This restaurant has received some good reviews, but our experience was very disappointing. The service was extremely slow - there was only one person serving the five tables. They apparently only had two reservations and were therefore not prepared for the additional walk-ins.Gin & Tonics were served without lemon or ice. The restaurant ran out of bottled still water! My wife's duck breast was over cooked and the portion was very small. My kudu curry was tasty, but had been heated up to the point that some of the meat was burned. The restaurant appears to target the overseas tourist market (we were the only locals dining there that evening), and the prices bear testimony there to. We will regrettably not return.Hello MikeC 7806,How do I actually reply to your rating of my business?? Not at all an easy one.Since I, the owner Rosemary, was not immediately called to point out the disaster you had to endure that night, it is not at all possible to reply at this stage. I therefore can only apologise to you for your terrible evening spent under my roof.Kindest regardsRosemary

Situated in the ancestral home of the owner and chef, guests are welcomed into a warm and cosy environment, serving freshly prepared dishes, using fresh, local and sustainable produce. It's like having dinner with friends, the way it's done in the Strandv
Lovely romantic atmosphere, the fireplace was not lit though the food and wine was delicious! Well worth a visit!Thank you for your beautiful review. We had problems with our fire place. With a slight change of wind, the restaurant filled with smoke. We have installed a wood burning stove and the smoking problem is gone. Our fire is burning every evening.Hope to see you soon.

After a two-year sabbatical, top restaurateur Jonathan Engelbrecht is back in town, bringing with him his ever-popular Benguela Restaurant. The combination of a passion for food and wine, extreme attention to detail, vast product knowledge and impeccable
A very special experience. The hosts, Jonathan and Handré, made it an excellent stay. A couple of rooms in their private residence made it feels like a home away from home. The interior very stylish and having big dinners with other guests, well its a dinner party every night if you wish! Food innovative and fabulous. Location good for the sharkdiving, thereâs horseriding nearby on the beaches. Not much more regarding restaurants, Iâd def eat in-house. Loved it.
The Farmlady's Shed is a quaint coffee & gift shop in Main Road Gansbaai. Meals are freshly prepared and all cakes are homemade, baked by the owner, Tiekie.
Stopped over for a quick cuppa and snack and were pleasantly surprised by high quality of food and coffee... very tasty tramezzinis: chicken mayo and spinach & feta...loved them both....lovely casual and relaxed atmosphere and very good service....can highly recommend a stopover...
Best take away or sit in restaurant with the most friendly staff. Your home away from home dining experience. The staff and management WILL go the extra mile for you as the client. We also do catering on request and make the restaurant available for a sma
