This restaurant was recommended by our gracious host at The Rheezer Kamer, our wonderful B&B. Had a lovely bike-ride over. Initially were taken aback a little upon entering; with the 'pannenkoekenhuis' in the same entrance, it feels very touristy and run-of-the-mill.However, once you enter the restaurant this feeling vanishes; especially if the weather is as wonderful as during our visit. The walled garden is really very nice.Then: the food! Actually we were surprised at the creativity and high standard. And: when as a vegetarian I mentioned I wasn't too keen on the veggie alternatives on the menu immediately there was a small consultation with the kitchen and I got a wonderful piece of freshly smoked salmon which wasn't (yet) on the menu. Dessert, again, was a feast for the eye, ánd mouth.We left as two very happy customers. (I've got some nice pictures, can't see how to upload them yet but will try as they give a good idea of the wonderful dishes)

After the desultory welcome by the receptionist on a Friday evening the rest was excellent. Lovely dining room and attentive dining room staff. We had a scallop starter and mozerella starter which were very good. The main cod with tapenade was under seasoned but the sole was superb. Very good wine. Slightly expensive but worth it.

The restaurant of the hotel is well known in the area. Many local people come to the restaurant for meals, including breakfast. Dinner was fantastic, great menu items. What interested us very much was the fact all their ingredients come from local farmers and producers, who are listed on the menu. I highly recommend the restaurant to anyone who visits Vilsteren, or the neighboring areas.

Zeer lekker gegeten. Attente chef die zich volledig gooit voor het culinaire genot van de gasten. Misschien 1 klein minpuntje. Locatie vlak naast camping kan nogal luidruchtig zijn in het hoogseizoen.

We had the "lunch minis". A soup and two small dishes. All were brilliant. Tasty. Perfectly presented. Nice atmosphere. We had tea to start with ( a choice of 12 teas ) and coffee to finish. Highly recommended.

Just moved to Ommen and trying out the local restaurants. We came across this one purely by chance as many restaurants are closed on Mondays. This one is open seven days a week and attached to a delightful hotel. The food was above expectation and the ambiance is also excellent.A la carte or a 3 or 5 course menu are possible. You'd think it worthy of a Michelin star but I guess the chef is just very, very good.

A charming place to eat, surrounded by nature. Huge terrace. Dogs welcome. Wellknown for its typical Dutch culinary 'kroketjes'. We also serve hare, deer and rabbits we got from the hunters that walk in the nearby fields and woods.

This place is a kind of middle of nowhere, but thatâs the beauty of it. No sounds of traffic, airplanes, people.. Just the fields and trees around you and birds singing. We were here for a birthday party, and this is a great location for a private event.Stunning sunsets and sunrises and the lodges far enough from each other , so that we all have proper privacy when finally get to bed. Food is excellent and people running the place are really friendly. This is a camping site with options to rent a place to stay. Strong recommendation!!!

We visited this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary in private, and we were pleasantly surprized about the variety of very nice combinations of food we found on our plates. All made fresh, absolutely made with love, and tasting ever so good!If you enjoy a night out with good treaties and well chosen wine, go here. No loud music nor loud guests, very friendly servants, no wonder we really enjoyed our evening out.
