Things to do in Long Island
Pratt's Restaurant is a bar and restaurant serving native Bahamian cuisine and seafood. They accommodated 9 of us in a cozy room off the main bar and treated us to a seafood extravaganza. The festivities started with huge stone crabs with melted butter for dipping. Everyone was then given a plate with rice and coleslaw to which we added barbecued pork ribs, deep fried breaded grouper and Carribean Lobster. Cold Kaliks were available to wash the food down and you are allowed to bring in your own wine. The price - embarriissingly cheap!
We have eaten here twice and going back tomorrow. The food is delicious. Fish tacos, shrimp tacos, and the yucca cheese balls are excellent. The Outer Edge is no longer open, this has taken its place. The restaurant sits on a gorgeous point and has huge sliding doors that open and create the perfect breeze. We have had 2 different waitresses. One wouldnât make frozen drinks which was annoying but the other made excellent drinks and had a fun, sarcastic personality that added to our dining experience. Make sure to walk down and look for sharks!

I ate here three times during a recent visit to the island. Good fish burger with salad, bad pancakes, great bacon, excellent lobster dinner! Coffee was instant so avoid that choice. Good rum cocktails and nice ladies working here. Slow service, but it's relaxed, not bad service.

The view is amazing as you eat here and the servers are very friendly. The pizza was pretty good. If you come for lunch, there is a lunch menu and a a bar menu in the drinks menu. The price was a little high and each item seemed to be a little better in other locations. The conch fritters were good, but another restaurant on the island has better. The same with mixed drinks. But, overall a good meal in a beautiful setting.

Minutes North of Deadman's Cay airport on Long Island, Bahamas
I have had conch salad all over the Caribbean and by far this is the best I have ever had by a long shot. It takes time to make so have a beer and relax. You cannot get any fresher nor any better. Words do not describe how good it is.

Clarence Town is the island capitol so you will probably visit the Outer Edge or Rowdy Boyz or both.Great setting on a deck overlooking the harbour where you can see ridiculously ostentatious boats, charter skippers cast netting for bait and also lean over and spot lots of fish - including the biggest needle fish I have ever seen. Friendly service and comfortable tables - we had the shrimp and the fish tacos which I must say were delicious and made a change from conch,.burgers or grouper fingers.

Tiny's thatched roof patio style cook house and bar is a relaxed and moderately priced beach front destination for locals and visitors alike offering authentic family island experience incorporating the features-characteristics-culture of beachfront locat
Facing south, you can enjoy the changing colors of the evening sky without being blinded by the setting sun. My wife ordered blackened grouper with a side of cole slaw while I ordered two grilled barbeque pig wings (made from the pig shank) with a side of french fries. While waiting my wife had a Kalik while I ordered a Tinyâs Tonic (rum with local sour orange). The pig wings were excellent, quite juicy and tender, and at $5 each, a great price. Although the grouper was excellent, at $15, it was a bit overpriced (or undersized) as that is all that came with it. I highly recommend Tinyâs Tonic. It will cure what ails you. Total for the meal, a beer and three tonics: $71. Note that all prices include a 15% gratuity and VAT. Also, Tinyâs is CASH ONLY.

There really is only one street in Deadman's Cay of Long Island Bahamas, they don't technically have a street address.
We had a light lunch of conch salad and conch fritters at Max's. They were doing predictably good business even on a weekday lunchtime in May. The food was great though and the insects didn't trouble us too much. The menu came on a whiteboard without prices, but we shouldn't have worried. It was the best value we had in the Bahamas, and amongst the best food too!
