The Out Islands are synonymous with sport, from the depths of the Gulf Stream that yield big game fish to the coral reefs just off shore that are catnip to scuba divers. Sailing, kayaking and beach-combing add action to lazy days in the sun, while resident pink flamingos and rare Bahama parrots color local hikes.

Thank you to Juanita and all your staff and relations! I chose this hotel as it is run by a local family and I thought I would get good recommendations for activities and food. Juanita and her team looked after me like a member of her family. I went horse riding (twice) on her uncle's horses; had a perfect boat trip with her nephew, Darren. Hannah made fab Painkiller cocktails. Michael made great breakfasts and dinners. Juanita introduced me to other guests and visitors. I am only sad that I had to say goodbye!

An intimate 16-suite beachfront boutique resort on one of Exuma's prettiest coves. Reopened in 2009 following a lavish makeover. Augusta Bay is an exclusive boutique HOTEL.
First of all, this was our 5th trip to Augusta Bay since 2019. We have seen the damage that Covid and Isaias have done to the island since that time. Through it all, the folks at The Inn have been more accommodating, friendly and flexible than the conditions should allow. The last few trips have been peaceful, as they are still fixing some of the rooms from the storm last year and there have not been so many quests because of the pandemic. However, as a working middle class American we feel lucky to get such digs and treatment for the comparatively low price we pay to stay there. Although the restaurant is closed, there are plenty of places to eat close by. The pool is wonderful, the AC works and the view is great! Oh yeah, despite what you hear from other buffoon reviews, all the rooms are oceanfront, just depends if you want to be 20 ft from the water of 30 ft… For the price, you get a decent place to stay. It’s not for everyone and I’m sure Sandals will take your money. We will be back in the fall.

Welcome to our little piece of paradise! The Sunset Cove and Rainbow Room is a small boutique resort with a restaurant, pool and bar located in the hearth of Eleuthera with pristine panoramic Caribbean, gorgeous nearby beach style cottages. The Resort's location on the island makes it an ideal base from which to explore the rest of Eleuthera. Within minutes of the Resort are some of the island's top tourist attractions: Surfer's Beach, the Famous Caves of Hatchet Bay, Glass Window Bridge, the Pineapple Fields of Gregory Town, plus our own Secret Beach. We even have Bonefish Graham's "Rainbow Guide" to bonefishing on Eleuthera. Our waterfront area with its seaside tennis court and some of the best snorkeling on the island (one of the sites on the Jean-Michel Cousteau Bahama Out island Snorkeling Adventures) will provide hours of enjoyment for the whole family! The vibrant and colorful The Sunset Cove and Rainbow Room and its Rainbow Bay Club is a historic property on Eleuthera Island that has seen many transformations since it was built in the 1970. Once a Restaurant with a bed and breakfast, and then a rental property, the boutique hotel now serves as one of the most casual-sophisticated small resorts on Eleuthera Island. The property features 15 uniquely decorated rooms with three different level: Deluxe, Superior and Standard for the convenience of our guest-friends, a pool and beautiful Bahamian park overlooking the Caribbean site. The restaurant at the hotel are among the best on the island and, if you’re feeling like a stroll, there is the famous Rainbow Beach just a few minutes away from the property, or you can snorkel directly from the rocks at property. Please note that our Cottages have been kept deliberately in the decoration and style of the 70s, some guests love to feel the "old Bahamas", so please book the cottages only if you really like the old feeling. If you like modern and upscale Luxury suites, we recommend you reserve one of the Luxury brand new suites 4* Hotel. For any additional question please feel free to ask.
Staff was very friendly and helpful and they even have their own herbal rum liqueur -- Bahamaro. We selected this property because it offered kitchenettes but we got only a small fridge. One large room with Queen and single bed and old shower. Water pressure was uneven so we often had spurts from the taps. Beds were hard and pillows were lumpy. We had just come from a beachfront 2-bedroom cottage with full kitchen in South Palmetto Point that actually cost much less than Sunset, so we weren't impressed with our room. The pool and pool area are fabulous and the restaurant and bar are very nice. Had very nice Vegetarian 8-slice pizza for $28.

The Sandpiper Inn & Cottages is an excellent choice for travelers visiting Schooner Bay, offering a luxury environment alongside many helpful amenities designed to enhance your stay. Guest rooms offer amenities such as air conditioning, and guests can go online with free wifi offered by the inn. The property also boasts a pool and an on-site restaurant, to help make your stay more enjoyable. If you are driving to The Sandpiper Inn free parking is available. While staying in Schooner Bay, you can check out a popular pub like The Sandpiper Inn, which is serving up some great dishes. Enjoy your stay in Schooner Bay!
I lead a busy life and wanted to go somewhere where I could disconnect from everything, swim, sleep, read and eat. I got it all at the Sandpiper. Lovely, clean cottage room with a large modern bathroom, windows that open (a must) an excellent chef who cooked me 3 meals a day, and a 3 minute bike ride to the beach where I was the only person there. Marcus, the tour guide, and his wife showed me around. They are the loveliest people. I felt very comfortable and safe at all times, which is important to me as a single female traveler. I will say the Wi-Fi was spotty at best so if you’re there to keep up on the news or binge watch your favorite TV shows, you may be disappointed. But perhaps it’s been fixed by now.

We can't wait to provide service with a smile to you all!
We just returned from staying at EBR & really enjoyed our stay! Frankie, Gwen & Dominic all were so welcoming & really made us feel at home & helped us with anything we needed! This resort has such a small family feel to it which is just what we wanted vs. a big all-inclusive. Very quite, relaxing & laid back! Thanks EBR!
