Ouagadougou (/ˌwɑːɡəˈduːɡuː/; French pronunciation: [waɡaduɡu]; Mossi: [ˈwɔɣədəɣʊ]) is the capital of Burkina Faso and the administrative, communications, cultural, and economic centre of the nation. It is also the country's largest city, with a population of 2,200,000 in 2015. The city's name is often shortened to Ouaga. The inhabitants are called ouagalais. The spelling of the name Ouagadougou is derived from the French orthography common in former French African colonies.

This restaurant is brilliant, and one of my favourite sports to eat in Ouaga. The menu is varied, and the Pizza is absolutely delicious. Security is taken very seriously, yet there is still a relaxed and chilled atmosphere. In my opinion their Passion Fruit sorbet is the best in the whole world!! It is refreshing while still fruity and smooth. It's truly incredible!

It is not as vegetarian-friendly as suggested on trip advisor, as there was only one vegetarian plate available (vegetables in coconut milk and curry sauce with rice). It was pretty tasty. We liked the décor very much.

Nice wine selection, and really lovely food. Warm, crusty baguettes and butter, you know the rest of the meal will be good. I had pasta with smoked salmon, portion size was perfect (but I eat a lot.) One of my dinner companions had a roquefort flan as an appetizer, pretty heavy, but the few bites i had were heavenly. Desserts were straight out of a food magazine, too bad we had to eat them. Service was impeccable. Hopefully the management will invest in some real decor and get rid of the plastic plants.

Very clean and well run restaurant, with friendly service and pleasant décor. Been here several times now, no stomach issues, all dishes tried were professionally presented, tasty and good range of dishes. Good selection of French wine, with a few from Chile. A little more expensive than other Restaurants in Ouagadougou, but I will be back without doubt. Centrally located in CBD.

Loved the Eau Vive. Stopped here as often as I could in my first week in Ouaga in the days after the coup. The sisters who run the place are delightful and the food was excellent. The onion soup was a favourite (amazing in such a French-influenced country how hard it was to find onion soup). The chef rustles up great African chips and nile perch (captaine) and the rest of the menu is full of french delights including frogs legs, from memory. I never did quite get to the bottom of why there's a Chinese waitress in cheongsam wandering around too. There's obviously an Asian section to the restaurant somewhere, though I didn't ever find it. Finally, of course, the singing of Ave Maria in the evening at around 9.15, depending on how full/empty the restaurant is. It's not sung to the Schubert composition non-Catholics will mainly be familiar with, but it's very touching nonetheless. Highly recommended and the profits go to the church orphanage.

Already experienced on several occurrences in 2010-2011; Quite expensive but really way above average in terms of service, food, atmosphere, in a nutshell: professionalism! One downer, as it the place to ben being very posh and all, the restaurant is often crowded and noisy inside (nice set of tables outside but often warm and swarmed by mosquitoes), especially if there are locals or Lebanese businessmen who enjoy showing off.

Lebanese and Italian food restaurant near the Azalai Hotel
We had a little difficulty finding this place, but it is on the same street at the Rec Center. There is a nice ambiance in the evening, the service is good and the menu is a little overwhelming. They apparently specialize in pizza, Lebanese and Italian cuisine. I had a Lebanese salad mezze (very generous--good for sharing) and a shawarma. The offerings were a bit on the expensive side for Ouaga, but they were generous with their portions. The noodles in my companion's Lebanese "spaghetti" were homemade. For dessert I opted for the café ' Liègeois" which was worth every penny. It occurred to me later that it might be a good idea to share several mezze with 2-3 other people and that way you would have the opportunity to try different dishes.

Somehow we didn't feel welcome, maybe because we spoke English. Our expectations were high, as it showed high place on tripadvisor and we were excited to have pizza in Africa. Service was slow, pizza tasted average, no thrills.
I would guess you could find a better place to eat in Ouagadougou, but if pizza is what you want, this is your option.

European foods and some beautiful African foods suggestions of the Chef. Enjoy. Les cuisines du monde (européennes) et avec des suggestions du Chef. Plein de délices. New Cappuccino
I liked the service here . Friendly with a touch of humor in this modern air conditioned restaurant/coffee shop in the center of town. We had a light business dinner - good pasta , good pizza , very good coffee and a nice sorbet. This is a popular spot and has a good atmosphere . Opposite the Splendid Hotel.

Visited for the first time, ambiance intimate though in a large garden, menu too frustrating (can't eat it all in one sitting), full of tempting choices. Variety of cocktails and drinks, both with alcoholic and non-alcoholic choices. Prompt cheerful service inside, helpful parker outside. Shared my main since it was too rich to each alone, though the sweet vinaigrette dressing on the salad around the baked crumbed camembert that flowed onto the wonderful bread was a good light tone. Strawberry tart also with hint of mint was delicious and appreciated the parting hot drink.
