My 1/4" thick ribeye was well done, French fries weren't good, red wine served well chilled and the pasta "carbonara" was quite bland. Service was indifferent. The real problem began as I was taking my final bite of steak. I saw one of the employees behind the counter slicing food and nibbling on it as he was working. Then he took off his gloves, walked around and rubbed his nose with his hand. Then he put a single glove on, started slicing again and took 3 more bites of whatever he was cutting up! That is gross and disgusting! What does he do with the food when no one is looking? Surely that doesn't meet sanitary codes anywhere in the civilized world! Only giving one star because I have to.

I went in the middle of the Danjiri Matsuri - so it was very busy, and they were using disposable flatware. I assume this was because it is too hard to keep up with washing so many dishes so quickly.Despite the big crowd, we were seated immediately. The menu was in English on the back side of the Japanese menu, so ordering was easy. The food came quite quickly and was delicious. Service was good.
