Good sushi but nothing extravagant that I was hoping for like mirugai, animo and other more specialties. Several of their speciality items were sold out early on Saturday night. Which is perhaps good for them but not for me. The service is super quick and not much wait. I will say it was delightfully affordable. That helps make it worthwhile but I still want to look for other places with unique offerings.

We stumbled into this place during lunch not knowing what to expect, and this way exceeded our expectations! Food was fresh and flavorful, lunch sets are also very reasonably priced (Â¥800 and up). Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the ambience + music was fantastic.

The large mechanical moving red crab billboard stands out over the restaurant's main entrance on Dotonbori Street. With so much food being offered everywhere I knew I couldn't eat a whole meal here but I liked that there was a small stall outside selling just an appetizer so I had a crab soup of some sort served in the crabs shell. It was just a nice taste and a real street food.

Our youngest son wanted to try kaiten (conveyor belt) sushi while we were in Japan. We did some research and found that most of these places were of so-so quality, except for Chojiro. Almost every review commented on the high quality of the fish and so it was a no-brainer. We weren’t disappointed. Rather than sitting at the counter, we were given a private room where ordering was done via an iPad. The service was amazing, with most orders arriving within 5 minutes of being placed. Our kids had fun taking turns ordering each round of sushi. We started with the tuna trio, with each piece melting in our mouths. The toro and chutoro in the trio were the overall favorites of the night. Salmon, tamago, and ebi were all devoured quickly. We also ordered several tempura dishes, which were very good. Lastly, the value was excellent. We were all pleasantly surprised that the total cost of the meal came in pretty low. That included several rounds of highballs (Scotch and soda) and beers. I would highly recommend Chujiro to anyone looking for a quick, inexpensive, high quality sushi meal in Osaka.

It’s on the shopping street but the price is like eating in the fish market as well as its atmosphere! Long queue buy worth the wait!We were sooooo happy with that meal & will definitely go back again!

Hate to be the one who breaks from the group on this place, but we went based on Trip Advisor reviews and what I read in those reviews didn’t equal our experience. To be completely honest, this place seems very trendy, I’m not a fan of trendy. Seemed very popular w the under 30 crowd, and except for one group all local couples. I highly suggest you make a reservation. We arrived at 6:30 and were told to come back at 8:00. We walked the neighborhood, which is a bit outside the tourist area so not a lot of places to grab a drink. When we arrived back at 8, we did have two seats at their counter waiting for us. The place is small and was full this evening. In the first level, sits about 10 at the counter another 5 or so at another make-shift eating area next to counter. Never made it to the upstairs. Ordered two glasses of wine, two of their specials-one sashimi tuna, one raw oysters. Forty minutes later we still were waiting for the sashimi-I mean their raw, how long does it take? The oysters were fine as was the wine. While waiting, we ordered two more small plates but just got tired of waiting and decided to leave. We did get an English menu but no one really talked to us, no one really assisted us and everyone around us kept getting food while we waited-it was a very strange experience, not indicative of our time in Japan. The prior reviews mentioned such a “warm welcome” and “such helpfulness” but we didn’t experience anything resembling those reviews? Maybe on a slower night, they have more time available to assist the English-only tourists. To be fair, they did get us two seats but we felt like an inconvenience. With so many great reviews, maybe we just had a rare bad experience. However, it was bad enough for us not to try again. Went w three stars because anything lower I reserve for rude behavior or horrible food. We received neither.
