Reviews on Pizza food in Salem, Oregon, United States. Named from the anglicized form of the Hebrew word "shalom," meaning peace, Salem provides visitors with exactly that - plus a horde of historic sites to explore and plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation. Oregon's capital, one of the oldest cities in the state, exudes simple, small-town hospitality with just enough politics and culture to keep things interesting. Tour the grand, gold-domed State Capitol to learn about the workings of the government, then head to the observation deck for a fantastic view of Salem and its surrounding area. Although the whole city is a living history lesson, brimming with old buildings and landmarks, the Mill Mission Museum is a definite standout. Art buffs should not miss the impressive Pacific Northwest collection at the Hallie Ford Art Museum. In between sights, take time to people watch or picnic at Bush's Pasture Park, or enjoy wine tasting at some of the local vineyards. Salem's idyllic setting, in the heart of the emerald Willamette Valley, coupled with its historic role as political hub for Oregon make it the perfect choice for a delightful and interesting weekend away.

There are actually two locations in Salem for this establishment, but the Liberty Street (downtown) location is most convenient. Really good pizza offered up here, and you can get it by the slice if you don't want a whole pie. Outside tables along the sidewalk, and small eating area inside.

Best thin crust in Salem, nice portions of toppings, always hot! Might take a while just because there's rarely a non-busy time here, but heck..have a salad, drink some beer because it is totally worth the wait.
This commercial location is fantastic! The service is fast and friendly. They clearly care about the customer and their business.Kichy inside deco is fun and open.Pizza selection never leaves you wanting but, if you want something different than the many options they have....you can always custom order a pizza all your own. They are fast and the flavors here are great.Chicken, bacon, ranch and the greek are always a couple of my favorites.

This was a meeting of 14 old folks from our high school class of 1957. We had several tables reserved for us in a quieter corner of this expansive restaurant. It is a buffet style restaurant...for lunch, at least...so we all served ourselves. There were half a dozen kinds of pizza to choose from and you could eat as much as you wanted to. There was also a salad bar included, but that was rather limited.

The pizza is good with lots of topping choices. Two people can definitely share one. If you go overboard with toppings, the crust gets soggy rather than crisp. The salads were ok, seemed like they should taste better given how fresh everything looked. The biggest downsides are it is usually very, very loud, so eat outside unless the weather is bad. Also, every time weâve been there the floors, tables, trash area, etc. were always quite dirty and no one seems to be assigned to clean.

After hearing about this place, I decided to give a try. There were a few families enjoying themselves talking, eating and having a good time. As said before, there are games for kids and plenty of seats for parents. Food was great as well as ambiance. Oh and not a loud music like some other places. Close to the freeway which makes it easy to stop and struck legs before continue with the adventures.

Basil & Board is an urban pizzeria and wine cafe featuring handcrafted, brick-fired pizzas, bruschetta and charcuterie boards, fresh salads, creative desserts, and local wine, beer, and cocktail pairings. Catering menu & delivery now available!
Their pizzas and salads are delicious - interesting combinations and variety. Their skillet cookies are amazing. My son love their "snackboard" for kids - it gives them lots of variety for choosing their own meal. They recently opened their rooftop area for dining, which is really nice in the summer!
