From the outside, this Restaurant appears to be the old-fashioned Mexican themed restaurant. Once you walk in, it still has the feel of an old-fashioned Mexican themed restaurant. The menu, at first glance, appears to be the old-fashioned Mexican themed restaurant. However, upon closer examination, there are many more options than just the combo plates of enchiladas, burrittos and tacos. Nicely, the write-ups accurately described the food, too. I had a spicy chicken dish served up with tortillas and beans and rice. Also on the plate was a larged grilled Jalepeno. The food was great, not salty and the Jalepeno, while spicy, added tremendously to the meal.My wife had a seafood burrito that she enjoyed. I had a couple of bites and would say the crab might have been a little old, but not bad. My only complaint would be we ordered the "top shelf" margarita with the higher quality tequila, however, they used a standard margarita mix...If I'm going for the top shelf, please, please use fresh citrus. Good place, though, and wonderful service. It's worth the drive.
I've been eating here for the last 20 years. My favorite is the Bacon Breakfast Burritto. It is big enough for two meals. You can tell it's good Mexican, because most of the customers ARE Mexican. When in the Rockwood District be sure to stop for some good grub.
Stopped in for lunch. I had a salad with black beans, rice, avocado, jalapeno, grilled chicken, lettuce and tomatoes. It was great. Delia provided excellent service. She has friendly, personable and efficient. Restaurant was clean. Parking available.

Stopped at this restaurant twice during a recent stay in Portland. Located in a small strip mall on Division Street, this place not only offers excellent real Mexican food, their margaritas are outstanding. If you're not Hispanic, you will probably be the only non-Hispanic person in the place -- another sign at how authentic the food is. Wait staff is friendly, attentive. Prices are very reasonable. Well worth a visit.

Mexican food in downtown Gresham where you will find giant burritos and giant everything But the taste is ok and nothing spectacular. It's nice g a typical Mexican place but rather a hodge-lodge cuisine; no beef entrees available and the taste is mediocre

Authentic handmade tamales and Mexican food
I'm a big tamale fan & was super excited when I saw the TF open up. I was expecting dynamite tamales since that's pretty much all they do but was disappointed after 2 visits and both times the tamales were almost all masa, very little filling and pretty dry. Mediocre at best but ok if you just need something decent, quick and somewhat economical.

I always go to El Tapatio when I am feeling depressed so in essence I eat there quite a bit! I always try to imagine myself as the character Marlon Brando played in Appaloosa.I wonder if they serve Pulque, but the stuff looks pretty harsh to drink so I will stick with the Strawberry Lemonade and pretend that it is Pulque. What I like about Tapatio is the fact that the food is good, the service is good, and it seems like a happy place. That kind of cheers you up when you are depressed! What is good to eat on the menu. The Fajita salad is awesome! The soup is awesome, and the Carne Asada is outstanding. You get plenty of chips and salsa with refried beans and the servers keep your drink filled. It is just a very relaxed happy environment and I like the painted murals on the wall.

This place is very good and super quick for s sit down place. Service is excellent, rather exemplary. They are super quick to bring you nachos and salsa along with water almost as soon you sit down and they will keep your salsa refilled as much as you need to. Food is quite good and plentiful. You also get a free vanilla ice cream with strawberry topping and whipped cream free with your order. Great value and awesome service

We had been hearing about this place and decided to drop by and check it out. By the looks of the line the word is out. It didn't take long to get our food and it was delish. There was no cheese on the tacos which was a bit of a disappointment but I think that is what keeps the prices down and there is a long list of sides.
