My sister, who knows the Turnaround Cafe owner, suggested we have lunch here after a morning at Enchanted Forest. What a great idea! This cafe is a true homegrown treasure, and we had a short wait for a table because the cafe was already filled with happy people enjoying delicious meals from a thoughtfully crafted menu. I chose the quinoa salad (comes with a gluten free scone), and it was just the perfect meal for me.I happily would drive from Corvallis to eat here again, especially since it is located only about four miles east of I-5. The breakfast menu is offered until closing time, and I might just have the oatmeal pancakes for lunch next time I'm there.

We stopped in our our way home from Silver Falls. What a find! The menu has something for everyone, and we decided to share a BLT, so we would have room for marionberry pie. Good choice! The waitresses were both friendly ad attentive. Our lunch was just right!

We generally get our orders to go at Rico's but we've eaten in there as well. Its a simple little lunchroom kind of place but oh is their food good. Their tamales which come in as many as 4 kinds depending on day of week and season, are wonderful and we've purchased them by the dozen to feed our hungry children and grandchildren for family events. The standard flavors which are almost always available, are shredded pork and shredded chicken. If you order a day ahead, you can get good veggie tamales and seasonally they have strawberry and pineapple dessert tamales. Their fish tacos are delicious particularly with the special salsa made for them. A large take-home container of spanish rice goes well with all as do their house made fresh salsas. The family that runs this place are really pleasant nice people and you'll definitely want to come back again once you've tried their food.
This is a fine place to stop at. I got tasty local Umpqua Ice Cream in a waffle cone, but the menu actually seemed to be somewhat varied, even serving a small selection of sandwiches. The servers seemed somewhat distracted, but did their job. Wide open sitting spaces make for a nice area to stop, rest, and eat at, especially on a summer day.

We like the food here, and the service is friendly, but the kitchen is S L O W .It is typical to wait twenty minutes or more for your meal, even when they are not busy. They are spoiled by not having any competition in town.

My wife has been coming here with her girlfriends for lunch and I always thought it sounded like not my kind of food even though she said it was good. Boy, was I surprised when we ate there two other couples one night. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was very nice. The menu apparently varies from day to day and week to week. I had the brisket when was excellent and my wife had a Cesar salad with chicken which is her favorite. We also had barbecued chicken at our table. Everyone enjoyed their meal and there were not compaints. If you want a table, you should make reservations in the evening or you might not get a seat. You can go online to see what the menu will be for the week. The owner/chef came around as we finished up to see if we enjoyed our meal so it was easy to see that he wanted to make sure that his customers went home with a smile on their face. Needless to say, I was impressed.

When my Step-Mother suggested we go to a local tea house for brunch I thought, hmm, my husband isn't going to love this. Wrong! Yes, the restaurant had all the teas, cups, dishes, etc. that you would expect for a tea house, but the real highlight for us was the astronaut memorabilia from Apollo 11 (think I've got that right) that the owner has collected and has on display as his father flew on that mission.I couldn't get my husband out of there until he had read every sign and looked at each piece in each display cabinet.Plus, the food was freshly prepared, excellent, as were the desserts. A fun place with a little secret inside - if you like space history.
