The Grounds Cafe has been serving the community inside Books By The Bay for over fifteen years and has been owned and operated by Chef Kristin since 2014. The Menu features delicious bakery treats as well as hearty soups, sandwiches and hot paninis. Famil
Very nice place for a light lunch. Had a chicken quesadilla with potato salad and the clam chowder. They also serve wraps and sandwiches. They were cooking turkey in the oven for use on the wraps and sandwiches. There were several salads in the deli case. Loved having lunch inside the bookstore. This gives you a nice option right off Hwy 101 (at California St). Parking on either side of Books by the Bay. They have a drive up window on the south side.

This is a small cafe on the main street of North Bend. It's home cooking. Much of what is offered is made on site. We had arrived about 10:30 so one of us had breakfast and the other lunch. Both meals were excellent. The server was one of the owner and very appreciative of our business. There's just no downside to the experience. Will definitely be back.

My wife and l are always looking for a place to enjoy breakfast or lunch in the Coos Bay Area. Two of the longtime waitstaff of the old Kozy Kitchen on hwy. 101 in Coos Bay opened up their own place recently. Specializing in âHome madeâ recipes. This day we decided to try out the Friday only cuisine at our newest addition to Coos Bay Friends Restaurant in Eastside. Their special soup of the day Clam Chowder! It was excellent! And the hand breaded fish sandwich was also very good! I also have to highly recommend their Chicken Strips and fries with Dianeâs special sauce!!! This place is great. A little off of the beaten path but well worth the extra miles.. Cheers!!
Having breakfast in a Toyota dealership is unexpected. When the food is great and the service friendly, well, you may be surprised. This dealership's mascot are three corgis who are displayed in various ways around the place. The food was inexpensive and delicious. The coffee first rate. What a novel concept!!

There aren't a lot of options for breakfast in Coos Bay but this place is one of the few and fortunately it is really really good and really really popular. We usually ignore the free breakfast at the Best Western and try to find a nice local place. This time, we drove to the Stock Pot and found that there wasn't a single place to park anywhere in the vicinity so we wandered back through town looking for an alternative. Red Lyon buffet looked pretty mundane so, after 20 minutes of not finding anything, we checked out of the hotel to head out of town. Fortunately, the parking had freed up for the Stock Pot and we got a table. Fantastic place. Really nice staff. Excellent food. Highly recommended if you can get a table.. Worth a wait if you can find a parking spot.
This is a small breakfast and lunch place that uses local seasonal ingredients. They put together hardy meal salads in creative tasty ways. Try the tahini dressing! (I wish they sold that by the bottle.) The coffee is wonderful. They make their own almond milk and almond butter. This place is a keeper.
