It was named by George Bennet, an Irish peer, who settled nearby in 1873 and named the town after Bandon in Ireland, his hometown. The population was 3,066 at the 2010 census.

This is a local favorite for drinks. The staff is friendly, the place is clean what else can I say. They also sell growlers and have a good selection of craft beers. Great place to get out of the wind and have a drink. They also have Oregon Lottery. Good Luck!

We decided to order the nightly special and were not disappointed. The glazed halibut was different and delicious. No tartar sauce needed!!! The veggies were also perfectly done and you can't go wrong with salad and a baked potato. Plus they serve bread and cranberry bread. The staff is always friendly and efficient. Its located at the south end of town. We did not save room for desert but they all sounded great. Ordered fish and chips from bandon fish and chips and they sucked for the price came here to the broken anchor and it was totally worth it for the price big peices and amazing taste. Highly recommend

At the heart of the resort, this seemed to be the busiest of all the dining options. Limited menu for lunch, but well picked choices. Had the soup and sandwich twice - not disappointed.

After hearing great reviews about the food here, I tried it with several friends while on our annual writing retreat. Our food was pretty good (two of us had the fish and chips, the other four had personal pizzas) and the service was good. Keep in mind this IS at a golf resort and is frequented by loud males. A group of six was seated near us. They were so loud and boisterous that we couldn't carry on a conversation while they were there. I downloaded a sound meter and their "conversation" registered 80 decibels most of the time. Once they left it was a much more comfortable 55 decibels at our table.

This place is cute and quaint! Sit across from the marina. Our waitress, Madison, was the BEST! The food was amazingly delicious. Best clam chowder on our whole trip up and down the coast! We all went there twice to eat dinner, that is how delicious the food was! And itâs reasonably priced! We all loved the food! Hi Maddy, thank you for the wonderful review. On a recent visit we stopped for a beer. We decided on 2 different take-outs. We were charged 1.50 extra on each one! Items were already overpriced. Oh, and a âwellâ drink was 7.50! We saw him scolding the bartender several times, and she was afraid to seat us at a certain table, said he would be angry?Jerk! We retold this story to friends who said they were recently there and he refused to let them do separate checks! Enough said here. NOT EVER RETURNING.
