Our restaurant serves local and seasonally inspired cuisine. We are the only tasting menu only restaurant in Ashland. We invite you to experience Cascadian Cuisine.
We had diner at Mas which was a fantastic experience. Two great guys who follow their passion and make amazing food. All dishes were special, innovative and really good. We took the 6 course menu (and should have should have taken the 10 course menu...).

Best food and service experience of my time in Ashland. Creative menu, beautifully presented and described, Michael, our server, was helpful, understood the menu and encouraged me to try a wine very different from my usual taste. He was absolutely correct! Since we had theater tickets, we left just as the musicians were starting but wish we could have stayed. Next time - Ashland; Public House again, for sure!

Modern Japanese cuisine featuring menu items from sashimi and maki mono rolls to beef sliders and fried chicken to delicious vegan fair. Kobe accommodates most all dietary needs. Located near Ashland creek with lovely outdoor seating and patio heaters. Pl
This is a typical sushi restaurant (that's intended as neither a good nor a bad title). I always found the indoor portion a bit dark, but really like the outside balcony overlooking the creek. This is down a level from the street, but there is an elevator for those who don't like stairs. We eat here often when in Ashland.

Umami is perfect for dining before going to the theater. The Elizabethan theater is just steps away. Our service was timely and pleasant. Thank you, Rebecca. The sushi samplers were delicious and portions were generous. Our samplers went well with a glass of chardonnay.

Sept 1st, 2015 - Just named one of the Top 100 Restaurants for Foodies by OpenTable. We are a small fine dining restaurant that strives to use local ingredients to transmute our food, cocktails and dining experience into memorable evenings. We feature an
With one night in Ashland we spent some time reviewing a nice place to have a meal and bottle of wine and selected Alchemy. Welcome was nice but the service was very poor. We were served by someone (blonde lady) who had very little interest in or understanding of the menu. Simple questions couldnât be answered (she didnât even know the WiFi password) and nobody was on hand to answer any questions on the wine. The food was decent, I feel bad that the kitchen is let down by such bad service. Garbage was dragged through the restaurant while we were eating, staff were shouting across the restaurant at each other. Just not an atmosphere befitting of the price tag. After dinner we fancied a desert, there was no desert menu and the waitress didnât know what was on offer. As soon as we managed to get a desert we were being ushered out of the restaurant (it was only 9.30pm at this point, there was at least 1 other couple and we had half a bottle of wine left to drink). Then the waitressâ boyfriend arrived and she was at the bar like a guest, it was impossible to get her attention. When the cheque arrived, despite the above experience I left a 16% gratuity (feeling that the kitchen deserved some credit) on a large bill and heard the staff call out that we were stingy! The waitress told the lady at the bar âthose two at the back are stingyâ I was absolutely gobsmacked at the attitude and impression that they had done a good job. I regret leaving so much. I wanted to speak to someone about my experience but by 10pm there was no one else on the premises to speak to. Just a very disappointing experience, very overpriced, our waitress just shouldnât be in the service industry.

Weâve been in mourning since the iconic Chateaulin closed down a few years ago. Not to worry-thereâs a fantastic, beautiful place in town, complete with not only a chef from Chateaulin, but also the amazing maitreâd! We ordered 4 starters and 3 mains, all fantastic Among the starters, the maitake buns, harissa cauliflower, little gem salad, and very fresh burrata and tomato were great. On the mains, the duck leg, local lamb t-bone and burger with special fries also great. And the bananas foster for dessert! Just a real fine meal between plays. Itâs only a half mile to the theatres. Oh I forgot to mention very creative cocktails! Thank you for the wonderful comments!
