First impressions are critical, and the salsa set a wonderful meal in motion. Thick, chunky, flavorful, and spicy; you could tell that someone chopped and made the salsa by hand. Muy BuenoFor lunch I ordered their enchilada and chimichanga combination meal. Wonderful flavors and a portion so large I needed a box to take the leftovers home with me.Next time Iâm passing through the area, this restaurant will be on my short list of places to dine.

My wife and I always eat here. However, this is just about to end. I ALWAYS order the chili relleno. Ixtapa used to be the best around but they have changed and are no longer made fresh. They are bought from a vendor frozen and taste like crap. The chili itself tastes uncooked and tasteless. Do not be fooled when they say that they are the same as before because theyâre not even close. We are phasing them out and will be patronizing casa for awhile until The Dalles gets some other Mexican food restaurant moving in. I tapa is cutting too many corners and their food is going with it. Down hill!
