I have been eating at San Antonio's for more than 4 years, the food is always fresh and hot, the mole and other sauces like their pumpkin pepita sauce, are flavorful and scrumptious. The staff is consistent and friendly, and they don't change. I love it.

Family owned and run, with very friendly service. We especially like their take out service which we often use. Sunday evenings is music nite. Great live music, performed by family and friends. Check to see if this is still on-going!

Where to eat Italian food in Independence: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Highly recommend the taco Tuesday deal 1 dollar street style tacos. You can choose from shredded chicken, steak, pulled pork, or marinated pork. Tried the chicken, steak and pulled pork tacos. The steak and pulled pork Tacos were good, but the chicken Taco were insanely good. They also had burritos, quesadillas and other typical Mexican food for very good prices. The outdoor patio had table with umbrellas to keep us cool which was nice on a very hot day. Will be back again next Tuesday!!

Two of us had lunch there today. We arrived a bit early and the restaurant and parking lot were almost full. We were seated promptly and provided with menus and ice water. The entree selections are massive and it was difficult to decide what to choose. There are vegetarian options. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, colorful but tasteful. There is adequate off-street parking. First came restaurant made chips and salsa, one fresh tomato salsa and one brown bean/cabbage. I had a veggie fajitas which was delivered to our table sizzling hot and accompanied by rice, black beans, guacamole, sour cream and tortillas. My guest had a taco salad which came in a tortilla bowl. It was a delicious lunch and I was able to eat only half of the fajitas--it was a large serving.Service was quick and the food well prepared.I had requested half flour and half corn tortillas but received only one kind, which was o.k. Would definitely return when in the area.
