During a trip to Ashland we had dinner at a restaurant new to us--though it has been around for a long time--the Cucina Biazzi. It's an alfresco traditional Italian restaurant where we enjoyed a starter antipasto, then pasta where John looked to the sage and marscapone ravioli and Ben to creamy risotto with artichokes. Following, we both had gambaretto. Very good.

Walk upstairs and discover a quiet hideaway above the street. We had appetizers and drinks. The staff was attentive and helpful. The perfect end to a busy Southern Oregon day.

Bruschetta was unusual but very good, wife had margarita pizza which she said was very good. I had fettuccini, ok but not a big winner. Service was excellent. Cute place, nice wine list...

We had dinner one night in Ashland at Macaroniâs Ristorante. We choose it because it was half a block from the theater. The others actually chose it and I was lukewarm, but I was wrong (I can admit when Iâm wrong!). was great, like all the food in Ashland. We had a reservation. We figured everyone was in town to see the plays so everyone would be eating at the same time. We were seated immediately. The restaurant has an upstairs and a downstairs (it is actually Martinos Upstairs And Macaronis Downstairs, but the menu is the same in both) and we had requested being downstairs. Between us we had minestrone soup, Caesar salad, BBQ shrimp, eggplant Parmesan and Capellini dâMediterranean . The owner, Marty Morlan, promises only the freshest ingredients, and yes, it did taste that way. The food came quickly as they knew we had a curtain to catch, and they promised they would have us out in time. And they did. All in all a delicious meal.

I am sure this place is popular, but I would not return. TVs blaring sports wherever you looked, service was okay but not terribly accommodating, although they did let us move tables around to make room for our large group. Pizzas were okay but fairly greasy and salty.
