Fusing a distinct Northwest and classic Scottish Pub feel, this Pearl District destination has become a convivial gathering spot of beer and food lovers since its 2008 opening. The brew pub's 26 taps feature Deschutes mainstays plus a selection of seasona
I try not to visit the same place more than once in a new city - but I really liked this place that I went for happy hour on my first day and lunch on my second day. The service BOTH days was amazing! The beer (tried different brews both times) was great. I highly recommend the pretzel with beer cheese / mustard - simply the best. Had the green goodness salad the next day with avocado - also good. This place was great.

Crazy at it sounds, Unicorns and Rainbows in an IPA are delicious!! Fantastic service, excellent food (Sausage soup and Burgers was our choices) and great location

The beer, of course, is made right there, but it also seems they take real care of their food ingredients as well. Fresh ingredients and interesting taste combos. The beer nuts on the appetizer menu had an intriguing mix of flavors (spicy cashews and fish sauce almonds). Ice creams and sorbets made on the premises (excellent!). Want to try more things on the menu, but the stomach was full.

Cascade Brewing has a reputation for excellent sour beers. I was on a pilgrimage through PDX for beer purposes and this stop seemed necessary. The place was packed and it took a while to get seated, but once there I was able to experience the reason behind their following. They had a version of Vlad the Impaler aged on cherries that blew my brains out. Word of caution: some of their aged beers have upwards of 14% ABV, so be prepared
