Blue Agate Cafe

The fresh food here is cooked to order which is always the best. Great seafood, pulled pork, tacos, and clams. The coffee is great as well. The service is good. Just a small place, no reservations, first come first served. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Moderately priced.

Downie's Cafe

Almost hidden anyway, the place looked tacked onto the grocery store and off the main drag. Also small, probably 15-20 seats max. Well worth your effort to find, everything looks fresh and homemade, the pancakes were huge and the sourdough breakfast sandwich was top notch and clearly made with a hand formed sausage patty not some premade patty. If you need a good start to the day this is it.

Coffee shop/bakery, with a small lunch menu

Try the veggie wrap with avo, black olives, tomato, cucumber, lettuce and 3 kinds of melted cheese. It was wonderful! lightly grilled tortilla chock full of veggie and light dressing. Yummy. The teriyaki chicken sandwich was very different in that the chicken was diced into pea size pieces and kind of dry. Put your coleslaw on the sandwich and that will solve the "dry" problem. All in all, enjoyable. The gal at the counter was kind of spacey and slow and unconcerned about service. The women working the kitchen were great. The homemade pie for dessert was good too.
