Reviews on Bar food in Newport, Oregon, United States. With its ideal location on the magnificently rugged Oregon Coast, the entire city of Newport is a natural observatory that offers a number of fun and educational activities for the whole family. Spend the morning exploring tide pools, combing the beach for fossils and spotting marine life in their natural habitats. Then head over to the Oregon Coast Aquarium where you can pet an octopus and walk through a glass tunnel surrounded by sharks. Newport is also home to two lighthouses, one of which is the tallest on the Oregon Coast. Historic Nye Beach, with its colorful cottages and laid-back atmosphere, is the perfect spot for a picnic and a quick rest from all the sightseeing.

This restaurant was down on the bayfront and is much larger than outward appearances would suggest. The food was delicious and there were hearty portions. Lots of fun selections for breakfast. A good bloody Mary, too. They were shorthanded the day we were there, so it took a while to get the food, but the waitress was kind and attentive and she let us know right away they were short handed. I would definitely eat breakfast here again.

We are a small family owned business that has operated for many years. We have a very loyal local following as well as people coming from miles away. Although we specialize in steaks and seafood we have much more on our menu and also have daily breakfast,
We asked a gentleman at a surf shop if there was a place that served really good burgers. Without hesitation, he stated that Newport Steak & Seafood had "the best burger in town." He said their Bloody Marys were great too and advised us to sit in the bar. He gave great advice. The bar was whimsical and perfect to watch the game. We peeked in the restaurant side when we walked in and it didn't look like it had as much personality at a glance. I had the bacon cheeseburger and it was fantastic! Very beefy with thick cut pieces of bacon on it. Bloody Mary's were very good as well. Good service and really good water. That may sound odd but it was on the softer side, which I personally really like.We will definitely return to this place and recommend it to others.

You guy's and gal's are great. I love the food and service here. I grew up here and know first hand how crazy the summer can be with rude mouthy critical guests. Just smile and take the money it will be over soon. Drinks are really good. The staff do a great job remembering that the locals are here supporting this place year round and we leave nice reviews with nice tips.

Had a great steak in an upper floor dining room with a window view. Reasonably priced and well cooked meal with fair service. View would have been better if the windows had been washed. Not much atmosphere to start with but that could be improved by removing the TV that was blaring some inane game show.

Our two-story brewpub inside Rogue World Headquarters looks out over Yaquina Bay and the Marina in Newport, Ore. as well as the brewery where Brewmaster John Maier crafts Rogue ales & lagers, the same ones poured from 40 taps, including pub-only limited b
Stumbled upon the place when visiting the aquarium across the street. You walk through the brewery to get to the pub. The beer flight was very good. Good came out very quickly. The poutine was delicious. My wife enjoyed her veggie sandwich and my lover patty melt was very good. Kids have their food served in on a frisbee that they take with them. Overall great experience.

Nye Beach area is crowed, and Tap House isn't exempt from the finding a parking space. Even with a parking lot across the street, if you are not early, then you have to find somewhere to park. Once you have accomplished parking, then you suffer from sticker shock when scanning the menu. Food is adequate, but not worth the prices they charge. I'm a resident of Newport, and there are many other places that have just as good and better food for less cost. I most likely would not return, unless a guest of ours wanted to go.The one positive, was the wait staff (Paul) was great, informative, attentive and pleasant.

There is nothing better than the combination of great food, excellent service and convenience! The Shilo Restaurant Newport is a full service restaurant and bar are located across from the Hotel Lobby. We serve a variety of Northwest favorites along with
We went during the week in the winter time, so not ideal, but staffing was bad. Only the bartender and the Chef were in. Took us approximately 30 minutes to get seated and menus.Once we finally ordered, the service was prompt and the food was good, no complaints. Fish and chips were excellent. Price was a little high in my opinion but not outrageous. Restaurant does have a nice view of the ocean and an upscale feel. I would imagine on the weekends and/or during the summer its probably a nice place to eat.

Szabo's used to be a favorite until today. The French Dip sandwich used to come on a hoagy roll..now a stadium hot dog bun. The Fish Sandwich was a colorless slab of something. We ate there every time we came to the coast but this was the last time. Service was good, but it takes more. Would rather pay a higher price that pay for the food we received

Our group of four enjoyed our visit immensely. We sat outside on the patio, and enjoyed the beautiful day while eating the delicious food. I enjoyed the Taugues Delight, Irish style sausages smothered in seasoned apples and onions sauteed in Strongbow hard cider, served with mashed potatoes, peas, and a side of our house mushroom gravy. It was delicious, and far too large a portion for me to finish. Others in the party enjoyed the Veggie Sandwich, the Dublin Burger and the Vegetarian Celtic Curry Pie. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. Service was good, but not exceptionally fast or attentive. If I lived in the area, I would return.

You enter Georgie's Beachside Grill and the first thing you notice is the view. The Pacific Ocean unfolds from tableside windows and sets the scene for a remarkable dining experience. Then you notice a few other things. Waiters greet people with a warm sm
We eat here every year when we stay at Hallmark Resort. Yes, it's convenient because they're connected, but the food is mouthwatering...Oregon's #1 clam chowder! Great steaks and outstanding seafood, with a large, varied menu. Large, expansive windows face the Pacific, both in the dining room and the bar area. Management has it right here , too...like the attached resort. Highly trained, smiling, accommodating staff...all of them...many of them veterans here...like Pearl, Juan, Tess, Cassie. Impressive! Thanks for making our yearly vacation so special! See you next year!886vickia, Wow! Thank you for your great review! We are thrilled to be part of your annual trip to Newport!
