We drove from Montgomery to eat here for a family dinner. 38 minutes later we were at a hidden gem. do not let the location fool you. this place is incredible. Corbin was an outstanding waiter and took care of everything. wine list was seriously extensive and the menu was incredible. our table had duck, filet, and grouper and all were perfect...no complaints about taste or presentation. tip.....order the bread pudding and ask for Corbin.

We stopped with 9 people to enjoy soft serve. I may have confused the server, after paying. I asked to switch from a small to a medium cone and gave her 25 cents to cover the difference. There was only a 10 cent difference but told her to keep the change. What I got was a cup, which appeared to be bigger than a large. Not complaining but the owner is losing with this service. Great flavor in the vanilla-chocolate swirl.

Experience fine dining without formality. Featuring casual lunches and elegant dinners, Southern and Continental fare set in historic Downtown Opelika. Full bar available. Mon—-Sat 6pm-10pm. Reservations accepted.
Arrived early and was seated immediately. Service was slow but in a southern kind of way. Waiter was knowledgeable. Fried asparagus was fantastic I was told by my daughter and my bourbon salmon was great. A lot of food on each plate. A little pricey, but not out of bounds.

We went because it was a pizzeria. Unfortunately, pizza is only served for lunch. The calamari and salad was good. That was as far as that goods. I ordered the lobster ravioli, our daughter ordered the shrimp linguini and my husband ordered the lasagna. All 3 dishes were cold. The food is overpriced and not that great.

Well, I will say that the building itself is beautifully renovated and the staff is friendly. The service and food could be better. I guess I’m a little more nit picky but it’s definitely not a 5. Specialty drink was a vodka/champagne strawberry mix. Too sweet and could use a small garnish. Appetizers, spring rolls (ok, very small portions) mixed app platter - a few small slices of tasty bread with very small portions of spread that was relatively nondescript in flavor. A couple slices of lightly pickled okra and some small pieces of carrot and pickle but not too exciting. Fried chicken skins for the boys - would be better if cut into smaller pieces but it’s just that - big pieces of fried skin. Not my cup of tea.
Mains. I had the cast iron fish (mahi) w grits and what was supposed to be a side of veg of day (green beans). Fish was tasty - sauce was nicely flavored with spice but too salty. No green beans were brought when asked l, the waitress said “they must’ve changed the vegetable” looks like it’s tomato now. The small chopped tomatoes were part of the sauce on top - not sure how she came up with that one but I guess she was trying to come up with an excuse.
Others at the table enjoyed fried chicken - the cornbread was fantastic. Steak looked very good as did the asparagus that came with that. Salmon was enjoyed too.
Overall fine, but a little underwhelmed.

Now we can bring the delicious food and drinks right to you and ensure that your event is a huge hit. Having learned that the Pub recently remodeled, and given the nod by our friends, we headed for a few pints of Guiness to accompany a dinner of fish-n-chips in downtown Opelika. We ordered a starter of fried green tomatoes, which was brought in short order and consisted of 5 golden-brown disks crust topped with a tasty sauce. A bit pricey for what arrived, but enjoyable, none-the-less. When our entrees arrived, the fish filet was that of a whole fish which, too, was a golden brown. But, when we started eating the, the interior was a mushy consistency and the meal was neither firm or moist. The Brits like their mushy peas, but mushy fish is taboo and is the result of being overcooked; very overcooked. We were disappointed in our recent meal and hope that the kitchen staff get retrained. This is management's job which appears to have been overlooked in our instance.

We came in for margaritas. We ordered waters, and never received them. We also believe our margaritas were virgin, even though that is not what we asked for. It took a long time to get our check. Would not return.
