This place is wonderful! The food is amazing, the staff are very nice, they serve mimosas after 11am, and they have a beautiful restaurant! There is always a long wait, so I recommend giving yourself 2hours for brunch. They are very good about making sure you know how long itâll be. Itâs totally worth the wait!!

Looking for a large breakfast before a long day we found this place via reviews. The food was good, many healthy options as well as basically all standard breakfast choices. Staff was super helpful and accommodated gluten free, even with some special requests.

The Elm Tree Restaurant is a new, modern-Mediterranean restaurant in the heart of Toronto! Using fresh and high quality products, the menu focuses on the use of familiar ingredients, yet delivers a unique and memorable dining experience. Our restaurant pr
My wife and I had dinner at the Elm Tree with a friend, all of us dining here for the first time. The restaurant has an inviting atmosphere -- cozy without being sticky and elegant without being upscale. There is also a terrace, but as is commonly the case in Toronto it sits beside a busy street and is not terribly inviting for that reason, although it is set back a bit and not right next to the street. Our meals were excellent and all three of us were entirely satisfied with the food. My wife had the Greek Salad for starters and it was authentic in taste and ingredients. The other two of us had the Charred Eggplant and it was outstanding. If you like Middle Eastern cuisine this is a hands-down winner. It is essentially a serving humous topped with baba ganousch and garnished with tabbouleh. Fabulous flavors and contrasting textures, but above all a luxurious mouthfeel. For the mains, my wife and friend had the Scallops and I had the Duck Leg Confit. Both mains were perfectly prepared. The scallops were melt-in-your-mouth tender with a seasoning that reminded us of creole blackened fish. The duck leg was succulent but with a good crackle on the skin. The combination of crunch and tenderness was wonderful. We finished the meal with snifters of Boulard Grand Fine Calvados. The service was confused, however. Perhaps it was a shift change or some such reason. When we arrived we were seated promptly and given water with the menus. But it took nearly 15 minutes to get our drinks and no one seemed to be clearly responsible for our table. Three different servers flitted in and around the table, but the person who was supposed to serve us (Miriam) disappeared after telling us the items of the day and an older fellow who spoke only broken English followed up on the drinks after we asked about the delay, before a third waiter finally took our order and from that point on took care of the table properly. At any rate, we did not 'suffer' or feel frustrated. It was a nice evening and a good meal, and the food really is excellent. The total bill was 219 CAD including the sticker shocker HST Toronto tax. So, the prices are not bad at all considering we had starters, mains, beers and ciders, and finished with calvados. I recommend the restaurant, and would personally return if I lived in Toronto. I would advise the managers to pay more attention to their service structure and strategy, but as I said perhaps we were there at an awkward moment and this is not typical (8.30 p.m.).

We were in town during the polar vortex of 2019 and had no reason to have to leave the hotel. Treated a friend to dinner in the restaurant inside The Grand Hotel & Suites and we're not disappointed. Excellent and knowledgeable staff with good recommendations and guidance about the small, but widely varied menu. The food was excellent- every dish, every bite. Try the Lobster Risotto and the white chocolate cheesecake with cranberry/pomegranate garnish. Wonderful selection of single malt Scotch and lovely house cocktails.

Atmosphere was great, the service was lacking, food on the other hand had lots of flavor and was excellent, until..... I found a long blonde hair under my salmon, I called over my server and she quickly removed my 50% eaten meal, the disappointment came with only getting 20% off my meal and a free desert! I was still hungry when I left!! I would have spoken with the manager had he come over to the table to apologise but he didn't!! So we just left feeling like suckers!!!Dear Disappointed:Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent visit.I would really like the chance to discuss with you further. Please call or email me at your earliest convenience.Best regards,Phillip Horrigan Executive ChefToronto Marriott Bloor [email protected]

Enjoyed our meal here. Beautiful views.Very delicious autumn mushroom soup, which they very nicely split for me and a colleague.I wasnât too impressed with my main though. They called it a risotto but it was orzo which I didnât appreciate, and it wasnât that creamy. The overall dish just wasnât that exciting.Good selection of desserts - we tried the apple pie and the sorbets. Both were very nice.

Richmond Station is a stopping place, a bustling neighbourhood restaurant in the downtown core. We are committed to delicious food and excellent hospitality.
We had just arrived in Toronto and were looking for something to hold us over until dinner. We had reservations at Richmond Station for 8:15 p.m., but since it was raining and very close we went here looking for a cup of soup. We had the pumpkin soup, which was very good. But we realized they did not have a formal bar, which was where we were hoping to sit that night. (Yes, we are barflies.) So we canceled our reservation for dinner, but are glad we got to enjoy the place and the good service anyway.

In the heart of Cabbagetown, this local favorite offers the choice of an array of classic dishes for lunch and dinner - burger, po' boy, steak frites, fajitas and Burritos, pastas and popular pub grub, and of course an amazing Craft Beer Selection!. And w
I like choosing restaurants based on location (close to hotel) and Tripadvisor reviews. Because of Labour Day weekend, a lot of restaurants in Toronto were closed, which forced me to look at a larger area around our hotel. This one got decent reviews, but did mean we had to take a taxi. Some Canadian friends decided to join us, and contacted the place to change the booking. They did not need to have bothered, as it was almost empty. It does not look great - it's a dingy pub without much atmosphere. It will probably look and feel better if it is full of people. The service was fine. The food wasn't. At least it was cheap. And there was nothing wrong with the beers. Altogether, this might be a good place for some drinks, if it a bit busier. But I would give the food a miss. I have no idea why so many of the reviews are so positive about the food, because this was not our experience.
