The tradition of Bualai Taste of Thailand Restaurant is now being carried on by new owners Nutsara and Toey Abel and we are pleased to announce the name change to Jasmine Thai Cuisine. Please come join us soon! 'Clean, fresh, healthy, delicious'
I had been told the Thai food here was "authentic", but really it's nothing of the sort. It's quite a pleasant atmosphere, but the touristy decorations should be a warning. Thai food is all about the spices and, in particular, the pounded fresh spices that form the basis for most Thai dishes. Here, they had none of the zing, none of the freshness that a good cook would provide. The green curry, for instance, which should be quite easy to make, was bland and lacked several of the basic ingredients that are easily found in Toronto. Everything we tasted was disappointing. The service was slow and impersonal.

Finally got around to eating at Karmaâs Cafe, we went full on Tibetan trying the Tibetan beef and nasi goreng. Both were delicious with healthy portions. We started the meal with their spring rolls which were hands down the best in town and maybe the best Iâve ever eaten. No mince here, real chunks of chicken and veg with great crunch.I tried the Tibetan Butter Tea and all I can say is that it was an experience. Itâs like a blend of salty butter, hot milk and a hint of black tea. The waitress warned me, but I had to do it.The waitress was very friendly, explained the meals well and took care of us promptly.

Stopped in for lunch - many specials to choose from at reasonable prices. Spring roll and soup or salad included with lunch specials which averaged around $9 - 10 dollars. Carafes of water provided - green tea and iced coffee available. Food made to order to suit your preference for spiciness. New ownership just getting settled but this place looks very promising, Will definitely return. I have tried several Thai restaurants in the area and this one is the best. Highly recommended.

Nice atmosphere, good service, good food. However, there are always the same two lunch specials for $11.95. Everything else on the menu is dinner pricing so it really limits your lunch options so we dont go here very often. Charlie's egg rolls are likely the best I've ever had.
