Had lunch with my children and grandchildren over the long weekend. Delicious food and great service.Seafood Tower was outstanding. The black tiger shrimps and the oysters were so good. So glad that we ordered the seafood chowder. The Atlantic lobster rolls were great. The Butter Noodles from the children's menu were a big hit for my grandchildren.Definitely will visit again

We like Schoonerâs. The fish, shrimp and clam strips are tasty. We did halibut. Batter is good, left too long and the fried food gets a bit soggy. The fries are good. Ketchup and malt vinegar at the tables. The coleslaw is great. The tartar so is just ok. The caesar salad was also just ok. The lemonade tasted homemade and we liked it a lot. They have coke products which we also liked. They had a high chair for our toddler and the server was super nice. No tip option with credit so bring a but if cash if you have it. The restaurant is really hot inside with the fryers in the front and A/C is there but not working well. We have noticed this the last time we visited as well a couple of years ago. They had ceiling fans blowing which helped but upstairs where the bathrooms are was ridiculously hot. It was a really hot weekend though. We will be back! Heat or not!!

We had been watching progress and waiting patiently for this restaurant to open, so gave it a try in mid-September.Qe decided to share a selection of appetizers, all of which were great, especially the Ahi Tuna which our server Angie had highly recommended. We also got to try some great local wine from a small winery we had not heard of before (stopped at Broken Stone on the way home). My only quibble is with the hard surfaces which reflect a lot of sound and the tables are quite close as the space is limited.Overall, a great experience and we are looking forward to going back.

To whom it may concern,I am emailing to express my disappointment in a dispute or lack of resolve that occurred in your cafe/bar on 17 January 2015. I witnessed a very poor display of service by an off fit staff member toward a paying customer. The staff member claimed she was allowed to push infront of anyone she wanted and then hit a customer in the face (a slap). This resulted in two males being removed from the premises however the staff was allowed to continue her drinking binge without reprimand of poor BEHAVIOUR.The duty manager at the time then argued with bystanders that she was an off duty staff member and it was not his concern however on or off duty STAFF are still a representation of the business. The Brazilian owner was apparently aware of the situation but when approached by the securityOr manager did not care or want to resolve the conflict. This is extremely disappointing for a 'small town' business and I will not be returning to cafe Cortado without an apology or reprimand of the staff member. Come on Picton! I would think you would value any business you receive and that staffMembers would be respectful toward paying customers. If someone would like to contact me, I would love to discuss but I doubt I would get any responseRick White0211721423
