It is approximately 75 km (47 mi) east of Toronto, and 15 km (9.3 mi) east of Oshawa along Highway 2. Bowmanville was first incorporated as a town in 1858, but later incorporated with the neighbouring townships of Clarke and Darlington in 1974 forming the Town of Newcastle, which was renamed in 1994 to the Municipality of Clarington. This small, family-operated eatery seems rather non-descript, but we were taken with the quality of the food. The halibut portions were quite ample, and were coated with a perfect light and crispy batter that is exactly what this fish demands. The service was friendly and attentive, and the price was quite fair. This is definitely recommended.

Our daughter was there once and enjoyed her meal.And on that note......we were happy. We enjoy simple meals done well with not too much crazy ingredients added.We were there MAY 4th for our son's birthday......5 of us.WHAT A SURPRISING GEM!!!!Appetizers...carpaccio, YUM. The five of us had all different meals and all were delicious.Will be back for sure.We thank you for supporting us! Canât wait to see you again soon.

Breakfast : one egg, 2 bacon, 2 toast, home fries $3.49; what's not to like; served til 2:00 p.m.; the cook is very good, pleasant and accommodating; if you want your bacon light or crisp, just ask her; she tries always to do her best; we appreciate that; the waitresses are attentive, friendly and social; the pancakes here are also huge and delicious. .. and we love the columbian coffee; We're regulars and we're going to keep it that way. Why change a good thing!
