We reserved the tables on the second floor, it was nice there was even a washroom available. Itâs a great spot for a group of 25. I had the Veal Marsala with mashed potatoes and vegetables. It also came with a Garden Salad, everything was delicious. A lot of our party had the Perch and Pickeral everyone seemed to enjoy it. My husband always gets the steak because itâs one of the best he has ever tasted. My daughter had the Maple Salmon she really loved the seasoning and flavor of the salmon. This is a beautiful building and I would love to go back on a warm sunny day and sit on the patio.

I visit Essex County regularly and it's not exactly a restaurant culture. It's more of a meat and potatoes kind of area. So it's always a nice surprise to see a restaurant like this thriving. Yes, dishes are expensive for the area. But this trattoria would hold up well in a big city. My parents ordered the Lake Erie Pickerel and it was perfectly cooked. My wife got the Linguine Pescatore. The pasta was perfectly el dente, the mussels had nice flavor, although the scallops were a little dry. I had the rigatoni with beef tips and it was superb. The Calamari was pretty good. This is the best restaurant in the area. Busy even on a Wednesday night.

Enjoyed Valentines dinner here. What a wonderful experience! There was live music for the occasion which created a wonderful atmosphere. The food was fantastic. Everything came from the kitchen piping hot and was delicious. The wait staff is very friendly and efficient. What a jewel for Cottam!
