Last night we celebrated my husbands Birthday at Aperitivo. We enjoyed one of their cocktails to start followed by sugar snap peas, ribs and a wonderful fresh peach and prosciutto salad. We allowed our server (and owner) Erica to pair our wine with our meal, as we always do, and sheâs always spot on. Desert was a delicious brown butter cake with sponge toffee and cream......wow! We ended our meal with coffee for me (black, since their coffee is always fresh and piping hot) and my husband tried a new scotch which made his entire day! He was still talking about it an hour after getting home! If you are celebrating or simply looking for wonderful food, memorable cocktails and wine as well as outstanding, attentive service this gem of a restaurant will never disappoint.

This was one of the best meals we had over the extra long weekend trip to Ottawa. Our server was very helpful with suggestions and offered enticing descriptions of the menu items. The haloumi was terrific and so were the other four dishes we ordered. Wine was good and service excellent. This is not an inexpensive place for dinner so expect to pay for quality. Lively place. Definitely recommend it.

I have been to this restaurant over five times. It is a high end fine cuisine wine bar. The service is amazing. The staff is knowledgeable and also very pleasant. This time I had the Tempura Fried Mushrooms which was so delicious and memorable. I also had the Bison Tartar which was decadent. I finished with a shrimp/endive salad which was refreshing. I had a nice red wine which was paired with my Bison Tartar. My meal was 85$ including the wine and tip. It is a reasonable price for fine cuisine restaurant like this one. I highly recommend a detour, although itâs a limited menu your choices will not disappoint.
