Always fresh & homemade. Cooked to order, just for you, on the moment. Nothing frozen, nothing industrial. Different. All about detail. Personalized service. Affordable. Local products. Kids welcomed. Downtown. Beautiful private patio. Caterings. Events.
We had a really good experience over lunch as the dishes and service were excellent. It was a little lenghty, almost an hour and a half - we were not in a rush, as everything is made from scratch but worth it. The olives, fresh hot baguette served with infused olive oil were appreciated. The lentil salad was outstanding and the lentil soup with chorizo was pretty good. The pisto stew and artichoke tapas were excellent. The house red wine (LAN) and cuisine are worth spending time over conversation to enjoy.

Went to La Hacienda as part of the International Jazz Day Weekend, and heard as fine a jazz duo as one can hear----local musicians Michael Morse (bass) and Biff Hannon (piano). Both these musicians have international jazz credentials. And the meal was great! Much better than the last time I was there. My cochinita pibil.burrito (pork based filling) was delightful, and my partner's shrimp fajita was also excellent. They really know how to season those shrimps!Very good service too from our Cuban waitress.

wonderful charcuterie plate - salmon and a cheese selection. A very nice red wine - sorry I forget the type it was, just that it was from Portugal. I like that you can get 1/2 a glass - that was actually perfect. Staff very friendly and down to earth. Very authentic feel - French style - so happy this is in Peterborough. It's been a while since I've been here, and I was reminded that I should come by this little jewel more often! Not a ton of seating so if it gets busy, you can sit at the bar which looks nice too.Thank you for your kind words and for taking time to write reviews of Le Petit Bar. I'm very pleased to hear your positive feedback. Looking forward to your next visit. Sincerely, Shannon
