The menu gives a quaint story of waiting for food prep and be prepared when busy to wait 45 minutes. Well wait we did, over an hour and a half, in fact it was closer to 2 hours when the food finally arrived. The waitress had been to the table twice to let us know our food would be out shortly, but that didn't happen. When it finally arrived it was tasty but we were well past enjoying dinner. Excuses abound, 30 people upstairs, busy night, none of which should have been my issue, any good restaurant takes things in stride and delivers the food. I will not go back, nor would I recommend this restaurant to any friend. After all of this they understood we were upset and did not offer any compensation only more excuses. Not worth the wait.So...lets get our facts straight here.You were only in the restaurant for about one and a half hours. Unlikely you waited for your food for two hours⦠unless you stood outside for half an hour before coming in. Thinking we were taking your order by osmosis. So lets give 10 minutes to be seated and order your glasses of water and then to order your meals. Lets give 15 â 20 minutes to eat you pasta dishes when they f-i-n-a-l-l-y arrived. At this point, now so stricken by hunger that any possible enjoyment was out of the question, shear survival became your only mission. That leaves a one hour wait for your meals â which is exactly what the time stamped order chit shows in relation to your final bill. (While you sipped and glared, complained and commented to those around you and to bully the servers.I do hope that your one bubble opinion made you feel better though. Top or bottom ranking. We donât set policy or procedure by T/A ârankingsâ. Our policy is to make every single meal a âone-offâ meal; each 100% prepared from from raw/fresh at time of ordering. We DO NOT cook for tables one-at-a-time. Even if itâs yours. We cook for approximately 30 guests at one time. Overlapping and multi-tasking every step. As such their is only so many meals that can be prepared with four hands in a period of 60 minutes. Sometimes - you wait.We aim for 30 in 45 but this night was exceptional in that we had a large dinner group upstairs â even though you suggested to the young server assistant that he was lying to you when that information was offered as part of an update.So in short...we did in fact take the dinner rush in stride and deliver the food. Like the professionals that we strive to be. 63 appreciative diners and two others. And FYI: guests from almost half the other tables walked by the kitchen specifically to compliment us on their exceptional experience. Our reputation for food, service and ambiance is well known throughout our region. Despite and in spite of the opinions of angry, self absorbed bullies and T/A rankings we remain a favourite destination for many worldly diners; including from TelAviv, Napa, New York, Charleston, Montreal and Toronto.All of the inane comments about quaint stories in the menu and excuses for the wait are completely mis- stated. The menu does eloquently inform that a full house may incur 45 minute wait times. Pretty normal stuff in any good restaurant I know. You were professionally informed about how a simultaneous surge of 48 guests were slowing down the kitchen. You were the last table seated and the second last table to order in an otherwise full to capacity restaurant. Your food was prepared as soon as stove, pan and pasta pot space became available. Period. Get over it. We did nothing unforgivable. We made your food. By your own admission good food. You waited 15-20 minutes longer than we would have liked -we're human. All this for 15 minutes â wow. All of our staff admirably performed exactly as they should. You choose however to ridicule these outstanding servers trying to placate you and to have you understand that you were not the only table in the building that night. Had you been humble, polite and understanding, I can assure you we would have gladly gone out of our way to do something kind and endearing in return. Everything that made you angry was a direct result of your perception of âwait timesâ. Like I said, every other table was thrilled with their evening with us. So there you sat. Sure, a little longer than we would have liked but it is an open kitchen and it was pretty darned obvious that all of us- kitchen and dining room staff alike were working at full speed. Still you chose to be rude to the staff servicing your table. You were also rude to the table beside you â pouring your anger on them like caramel on a wool sweater. Yes, I chatted with them afterwards. They were super happy btw. One in every crowd I believe were their exact words. Please, I implore you, do the industry a favour always choose to show respect to all the hard working restaurant staff around you. (That means not leaving a $1.00 tip to a server when your fight was with me â the owner.) You will be amazed at how well we will respond in times of minor variances. It will always have a more positive affect on you than you will create negative for us.

When I entered the restaurant I was greeted with a friendly smile. I had a steak sandwich and it was above average, fresh and hot. Will go back and try the Pizza at some point. Not much room for dinning in; mainly a to go place.
Where to eat Cafe food in Perth: The Best Restaurants and Bars
This recently opened Milano location is very clean and bright, and the largest one I've visited in my travels so far. I would guess that it could seat about 30 patrons with room to spare.My wife and I shared a small "Milano Special" pizza, and it did not disappoint. We could only eat half, due to the usual generous amount of toppings and cheese.The service was friendly and prompt, and we will definitely return.
