I have known about this restaurant for about 20 years as I used to pass it each day to go to work.I have just moved in to the area and decided to try their fare.I went in person with no menu or previous visits. They kindly directed me to the counter I needed to place my order.I spoke to the (hostess or waitress) at said counter and asked for recommendations. She was very polite and mentioned a couple of her personal recommendations from the menu. I decided on "POLO SALTIMBOCCA (STUFFED CHICKEN) which is described as "tender chicken breasts stuffed with a savory pesto, prosciuto, and provolone cheese and topped with creamy pesto sauce". I placed my order (about 15% tip included) total was about 25$.I was told my order would take about 10 minutes to prepare. At the 10 minute mark, I was told they had to "re-stuff" the chicken. This would take some time. I honestly did not care... Good food takes time to prepare... I would gladly wait 20-30 minutes for good food prepared properly. Keep in mind, the staff were very apologetic and kind to me. I was offered a business card directing me to the website and phone number, as well as the owners name.I waited patiently and received my "tender chicken breasts stuffed with a savory pesto, prosciuto, and provolone cheese and topped with creamy pesto sauce".Oddly enough, there was no stuffing in the chicken? I assume there was the same problem as they stated earlier with the stuffing. Or maybe they gave me the wrong one?The 2 half potato slices I got were cooked very nice with slight grilling. The veggies were EXCELLENT with a lot of melted butter and sauce. The Greek Garden does NOT skimp on the details. Not oil, not margarine, nothing.. They use nice, tasty butter & spices. 1 Stuffed (?) Chicken Breast?2 X 1/2 Potato 2 cups (or so) mixed veggies & sauces.$25 (including tip) The staff was very kind and the other costumers that I interacted with were very nice and respectful.Cost: Relatively good considering the quality of the veggies and flavor of the ingredients. Good ingredients, good spice... talent = Value.I have to admit, there seems to be a level of arrogance attached to the staff. If you have a recognized name, or a fat ass wallet (I know this is weak, but if you have 20-30 "Benjamin's" as opposed to $25-$75 in low bills when paying for your order, you will generally get faster, more specific attention.Keep in mind, this is done with an experiment only using 2 sets of people. 2 people who ate in, with reservations. And a single person who stopped in, unannounced, with an order for a single person, who asked for a menu. Ordered from the menu.Dear Jamie K, Thank you for reviewing Greek Garden and choosing to eat with us. We are very pleased to hear you enjoyed the Polo Saltimboca, and that you enjoyed the service you received from our take-out attendant. Thank you very much for your thorough review of Greek Garden, and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
