Diner style restaurant, casual friendly staff, delicious soup and smoked meat on rye ... fries well cooked with tasty coleslaw. Sometimes a meal needs to feel like it was homemade and wholesome ... the Golden Rooster was a precious find in a city of upscale restaurants. Great place to bring your kids as well; the menus have variety and are affordable for families.Danielle

Found this great amazing place today. Wow what a great surprise. Great food, great atmosphere, great service. Hard to find all that in one place. The food was so good and the ambience was equal , a roaring fireplace on a cold winter day. Excellent.We're so glad you found us! Every time I come to Kingston I try to make it to Pasta Shelf. Each meal I had has been delightful. Menu has lots of great pasta dishes and pizza options. My partner had rigatoni/meat sauce/meatballs and I had Linguine Chicken Tetrazzini. Both were accompanied by a lovely garlic bread. Portions are big and the prices reasonable. There is a huge takeout business. They have take out meals and a take and bake option. Decor is clean lines stainless steel. Itâs very modern diner~like. Parking is great. Service was good. Desserts looked amazing, but I didnât have room in my tummy for any more delicious goodness.
