As a person who suffers from anaphylaxis, dining isnât always easy. Having said that, no restaurant should ever make you feel ashamed or ridiculed for something with which you canât control. Insert Peter Cellarâs Pub. I am writing my review as my overall experience was horrific, left me in tears and needs to be shared in order to be addressed. When we arrived, we were greeted by an obnoxious bar keep who thought his insults were charming. When advising of my allergy, he referred to me as âSpecial Needs.â This isnât even the worst of it! He asked me if I was lying about my allergy and that the whole kitchen would need to change if I was being serious. After mentioning that I was carrying an epi-pen and that my dairy allergy should not be taken lightly, he continued asking if I would die. This must have been repeated at least 6 times, enough to warrant stares by other patrons at this tiny establishment. An hour passed to which the manager came to our table, her words: âWeâre not a medical facility and we will not take the risk to serve you here.â Not only did it take this restaurant over an hour to tell me I couldnât eat here, that same bar-keep, once again repeated, âYouâll die here!â âI donât know how you ever eat out.â It was horrible. Everyone was staring. This man insulted me and wouldnât stop with his dying jokes. It was the worst experience I have ever endured. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS. The manager and staff at this establishment need a lesson in customer service and respect. Thank goodness that there are places in this area that shine like The Globe. They took our group of 6 and turned our night around. Our server was welcoming and accommodating and added so many nice touches to our experience. Thank you to The Globe! We will certainly be back!

This restaurant would get 4 1/2 stars from me if that were an option. The smoked mushroom soup I had was excellent; the omelette was very good, although its presentation was not very interesting. The other members of our party were also pleased with what they had, although two were unable to finish what they had. The ambience is old Upper Canada; the room is attractive. The prices are very reasonable. Recommended!

This is an excellent place to stop for a bite to eat and a cold one after paddling in the Beaver Valley. There is nothing north of Shelburne so we stopped here and were not disappointed. The owner was very friendly and recommended some good beers to us. It is a small place but that is what made it nice......small town feel. If I was a local I would be here on a weekly basis! I found the prices to be normal and our food was very good. We will return for sure next time we paddle the Beaver river! Need more of these non franchise places! Great place!!
Popped in for a lunch with my granddaughter. Small and cozy with wonderful servers. The Shannon burger was excellent. And the parm chicken sandwich is supposed to be amazing.Highly recommend a visit if you are in town, or if you live there,,,,go give it a try....you wonât be disappointed

I've eaten here multiple times over the last few years as this is pretty much the only breakfast place in Shelburne. We have friends in Shelburne, and we always do our visit with sleeping over, and breakfast in the morning... so I've been here on the regular, and will be here again soon. This is not an extravagant place. To me this is a mom and pop shop that serves good food. Prices are reasonable, staff works hard, and weekends, this place is always busy.I've only ever eaten breakfast here, but our group has had everything from wings, pancakes, to all the different breakfast plates.we will continue to eat here over the years and we are satisfied with this standard of service for our regular breakfast joint.oh,... and ill try to be the first traveller to upload a photo.. lol..

A fun, friendly local pub with great food and entertainment located in the historic c.1888 building on the corner of Main and Williams.
We were traveling from South Hampton to Toronto and there was this great pub! A church conversion done right! We ordered ribs and a salad and both were above and beyond most places we have critiqued. The right temperature, presentation, speed, and good service! Good Suggestions and busy.. the patio is brilliant.. Do not leave this place off your list of great restaurants:)

Had read the reviews so we decided to stop here. I had a BLT on an onion bagel DELICIOUS!My wife had an egg salad on sesame bagel. Also very good. Bagels are realkly like rolls/bread but still fine. Minestrone soup and sausage role was also good. Coffee will do. Service was very friendly and speedy quick. Yes we'll go back.

I have eaten here numerous times. It's my go to place for great fish and chips! They are friendly and the food is outstanding! I usually order their halibut & chips or the haddock & chips. They do also have chicken, although I haven't tried it, it seems to be popular too. Prices are fair and you leave stuffed! Highly recommended!!
