The outside doesn't look like much but it was early and we needed breakfast so we went in with low expectations.It turns out the inside is old fashioned and larger than you would think. The owner waits tables so the service is prompt, the coffee is hot and the food is a great throwback to diners from my youth.No we go every time we are in Renfrew. Good job!

It's a chip wagon in a Canadian Tire parking lot, that being said the fries are tasty and prices accordingly. They have a large menu of other items you would find in this type of establishment, but we've only ever check out the fries. They always have a decent sized crowd there, so you know they must be doing something right.Staff are efficient, and friendly.

just in town for weekend helping with a move on a crazy hot day. Discovered many places close the kitchen by 9 on saturdays and were driving around trying to find somewhere more than just fast food. Finnigans still had a partial menu available - ordered couple of pizzas/drafts and we were quite impressed - well made with lots of ingredients and lots of cheese. Decor is older restaurant mixed with bar. We were late and it shifted to bar crowd as expected so got a little noisy but to be expected by that hour. Although older it was clean and food was good which is what really matters.Shout out to our server Laura - she was great. Attentive to what we were looking for, good suggestions on what was still available to eat including what she recommended and why, knew her beers - overall great service that should be recognized. We will be back again when get the chance

There's always a friendly welcome and good food at Sandy's. The sandwiches, butter tarts, and breakfasts are the best quality. Sandy takes the time to ensure that all orders are perfectly prepared and generous quantity. All this for very reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious. Huge portions, very flavourful and well presented. We we two of only 8 people there. It was quiet and the waitress/bartender was super friendly. Her recommendations were perfect. They also have an outdoor eating area to enjoy the sun. My only advice: go hungry! Iâm a big eater, and for the first time in a LONG time, I had to get some of it âto goâ. We will definitely be back very soon!

We had dinner here recently, and we enjoyed it very much. We were waited on by Kayla, who was extremely pleasant and helpful. Starters were the seafood chowder and calamari. Both were excellent. Mains were the 8 oz prime rib with yorkshire pudding, and the chicken parmagiana, and we enjoyed them both very much. For dessert we had the strawberry champagne cheesecake, and it was divine! All in all, a great dining experience at the Rio Tap & Grill, and we will definitely return!

Always delicious food. Lots of options on the menu for great prices. They have fantastic "date night" deals with the O'Brien theater for couples or for families with children which makes a dinner and movie night affordable. It is my favourite place to eat in Renfrew!

Got a large pepperoni and cheese pizza. Good taste. Good size. Good price. Good service. Iâd eat there again. I know ppl probably prefer their pizza pre sliced but one thing I like about the Calabogie pizzeria is that they donât pre slice it unless asked that way the grease doesnât soak through the box (and onto your lap). So if you donât want it sliced then you have to tell them when you order.

Popped in for a brief lunch on the way back to Ottowa. Excellent soup and sandwich made from fresh ingredients. Just what we needed and very good value. Why can't more places get the basic things right like tasty and good quality ingredients. Needless to say the place was busy .

Our waitress Christine made us feel very welcome as she laughed and joked with us as she answered questions about the menu. Very good portions and unique flavors with all the dishes that we ordered! Perfect lunch was had by all!
